VERY true, SBG. Never noticed that clause before so I'm even more in favor of the Dodge/sure hands route.

The dodge skill rules even when there are a few tacklers around. Even against dwarves dodge is a great skill, because their tacklers are so damn slow.
Also, as this player is ST5 it makes things even harder for the opponent - Dauntless requires a skill roll too, which makes it unlikely to meet a Dauntless/Tackle guy.

Dodge is the most obvious choice. Far beyond Stand Firm, especially now that SF doesn't give you one free square when failing a dodge.
