Hey guys
The fixture in my local league has been changed around dramatically due to a few dropouts, and as such I'm up against a High Elf team tommorow night, without skills such as tackle and strip ball(I had planned to get them later, before playing these kind of teams). His team rating is about 50 points higher than mine, with a large assortment of skills (mainly block and dodge, though only two players with both (lion warriors). His main strengths are an agility 5 thrower with safe throw and sure hands, and one of his lion warriors with catch, block, dodge, strip ball and sure feet.
My side isn't really developed yet, as you can see;
1 Minotaur with block and no wild-animal (house rule on a 12)
4 Chaos warriors
2 Beastmen with Guard
1 Beastman with block
4 Beastmen
If anyone could offer me any advice for taking on the High elves it would be greatly apprectiated....
thanks in advance.

Hope you get lucky on the handicap table
On defence basically you have to mark his receivers - but if its the 2 LW's with blodge then probably save your blitz to try and get at the ball carrier. Hope he has some bad dice - and encourage this by making him dodge with players without dodge, and block with players without block. Try to make him concentrate the play - because as soon as it spreads out wide you'll be in all sorts of trouble.
On offense you'll have to keep it very tight and drive a secure cage upfield
slowly. Take your time and ensure your ball carrier can't be blitzed. Alternatively if he doesn't have any guards you could try tempting him with a guard either side of the ball carrier to make a 1/2 die block against your ball carrier (someone with block ideally). Make sure he's blocking your ball carrier towards some more of your own blokes.
Remember, if you are 2-0 down with 4 turns left you can still try to maximise SPPs etc to gain as much benefit from the game as possible.

Smack some elves around
Defense: create a wall for him to bash his elves against
Three beastmen on the line in the exact middle squares
Plop one of your guards in the middle of that
On the wings I would put a Chaos Warrior on the sideline three squares back
Put a beastman (maybe the block guy) two squares to his side
Put your other Chaos Warrior two squares to his side.
i.e. Chaos warrior, space, Beastman, space, Chaos Warrior
Set up the others as free safetys or whatever feels right. Maybe an I formation in the middle?
What this does is they can't get much of a 2 die advantage on the sides and pushes the play back towards the middle. I would send the one of the line beastmen into the backfield and slow up their ball handlers. Make the elves push through you. If by some miracle they are in a position to score in the 2nd turn after this set up, take down as many as you can, and then send me hatemail.
Offense: play whatever is comfortable for you but I would cage up and let him try to beat on you. Have the guard beastman surround the ball carrier & Chaos Warriors at the points.
For the most part, I would play an attrition game with him. Knock as many guys out as possible and play iron curtain.
