Foul him when he's down? Stick a Treeman in front of him?

You use Orcs, so prepare to sacrifice your BOs in an attempt to get rid of him. If he can't knock you down, throw one dice Blocks if you have to...anything to make him Blitz in order to throw a Block and use PO. Finally, take the chance and foul him when he is down. He is only AV 8, so odds are good you will do it. As to getting kicked out, would you rather miss the rest of the game, injury free, or get sqaushed into oblivion? Absolutely imperative to foul a Big Guy with Piling On because he WILL kill you. If you are like me, and have Linemen with Dirty Player (developed this way for EXACTLY this type of Big Guy), he should at least be stunned frequently.

Yes, ogres can make ok blitzers (once they have block and pro, until then don't blitz with them). However, what many people fail to realize here is that in this case, the ogre is playing for norse. This means an all-AV7 team with 4 great blitzers already (block, jump up, frenzy). What this team needs is a ST5, AV9, thick skull player on the LoS, not another blitzer. Fire him and get a new one with block.

Funny, I take the opposite view to Zombie. +1 MA is much more useful on a Norse team than, say, a Human IMO.

Well, I must say that I´m with Zombie here. I don´t need a blitzer, I need a blocker on the line. My plans on my Norse Ogre were always Block, Guard, Pro. On doubles, SFirm. That´s it.

Problem is that he just managed to score a CAS the last game, and he currently has 12 SPPs (1CAS+ 2MVP). I´ll wait for the second skill now, I guess.

Meanwhile, I´ll be saving some money...

Normally, i'd say wait and see if you can get something good. For example, my hobgoblin with 5 SPPs and a niggling injury is staying just in case he got something really cool like +1AG or +1ST with the next SPP.

However, in the case of your ogre, he can't get anything really good. Block is a necessity for him at this point. If you don't get it next, you'll have to wait until you reach 31 SPPs. Since there's no way he can turn out good now, i'd fire him right away and hire a new one. It sets you off 2 SPPs for his next skill, but makes his second skill appear 3 SPPs earlier, and his 3rd one as well.

The +1 MA is just completely useless for him anyway.

Fire him and buy a minotaur. They work better for Norse anyway.

We're all stabbing in the dark here. Is there a roster we can look at? Money in the kitty to play with? How about League composition?
Keep him/ fire him/ replace him is a difficult decision without context.

Here´s the League clasification link

http://ludere.ual.es/netbowl/index.php? ... sificacion

My norse team (Ankh-Morpork Motherf*ckers) is on the Silver Albatros division, currently on third place with a 6-0 match record. Team roster is just a click away.

Hope this helps to clarify, DW

yeah, Zombie is right ... i also have this hobbo with a niggling injury when he was still a rookie, and then came a +1AG roll on his back! Now he makes a nice reciever ... if he only catches the ball ... :x

Manusate - keep the Ogre untill you can buy another one, and when the time comes, buy it only if it has 10 or less SPP ...
