Strenght vs Attitude-what to choose

Post by Afroman »

Usually whenever I can I go for the Strenght-package(chef+deep) but after seeing the efficiency of the wizard I'm thinking of maybe going for the "Attitude"-deal(chef+wizard+pug).

I'm specially interested in scenarios where one or the other may be of most value!

What are the thoughts of the collective mind of TFF?

PS. Of course, we are talking halflings here........

Personally, after playing 'flings for over 10 games now (maybe hitting the 15 mark). I always try and and go the deeproot+chef combo. The 3 trees on the front line is just so good, as you can completely dominate most, if not all other teams frontlines. He has st7 and block, so that really negates the loner, with the only thing you have to worry about being that take root. I just think hes better than a wizard overall. Sure you can use the wwizard to stop a certain touchdown, but thats only a once use thing, where as deeproot will be (hopefully) on the pitch the whole game causing trouble.

I got not much experience with hobb, I mean halflings, but usually I buy a wizard when facing a sneaky and fast team. Those have more chance to get away to the back lines. Burning one of the slippery suckers holding ball to the ground and stopping a TD happening is a satisfying feeling.

I think choosing inducements is best done on a case basis.

I think that that is the main thing. It really depends. I played an undead team the other day and dominated the frontline with my trees. Then i played a wood elf team where a wizard was much handier.

In that case what do you choose whet your opponent has a bloody Mighty blow/Claw Yethi?

THat beast removes trees like there is no tommorrow and maybe a blodge + wizard would be a better choice?

Prioritize to blitz the Yehtee with a Tree, then mass foul him.

Agreed. Snow Trolls, like Rat Ogres, are fundamentally weak (AV8, no Regen, no T-Skull).

I went with option one. That three Treeman LoS is just too good to pass up. You get to either bash the ~$*% out of everyone or Deeproot lets you drop a Treeman back from the line in order to one turn score. Best of both worlds! :orc:
