Speedy McOrc reaches a new level

Post by Der_Doodle »

Hi,
I got a special Ork Thrower who skilled up again (sadly it was a normal roll)

So far he has +2 MA and Block. He is more Runner then thrower and is my all-time-thrower (playing in defense)

My other Thrower has Block, AG4, Kickoff Return and will get Accurate if he skills up again. he is my primary offense thrower and usually benched in the first defense.

What skill would you give the +2MA Thrower next?

Atm I am prefering Fend. But I am open for ideas.

Runner's should have Fend, SS, Dodge..so take Fend and on a double Dodge then SS.

Depends on the rest of the team, but I'd consider:

- Leader
- Tackle (since he plays on defence)
- Strip Ball (since he plays on defence)
- Frenzy
- Kick

Fend is obviously good for screening purposes on defence but I think you'd need something that complements the +MA. Tackle and Strip Ball might fit that bill. Shadowing benefits from +MA but this guy's still just MV7.

Another for Fend. Or Tackle.

1x Thrower with +AG, Block, KOR
1x Thrower with +2MA, Block

Rest of the Team:

2x Black Orc with Block, Guard
1x Black Orc with Block, Guard, Standfirm
1x Black Orc with Block, Sidestep, Guard (I love this guy)
2x Blitzer with Mightyblow, Guard, Tackle
1x Blitzer with Mightyblow, Guard, Standfirm
1x Blitzer with +ST, Frenzy
1x Lineman with Wrestle, Dirtyplayer
1x Goblin with nothing

and 4 Rerolls (sadly I realised that I need those 4 cause of my pass heavy game -so far 46 comp in 29 games)

Strip Ball might be an Idea since I am sure I will never get it on a Blitzer (they need Standfirm or Sidestep soon)
Tackles is well.... 2-3 on Blitzers should be enough I think or?
Or well FEND :) And praying for a double on the 76 SPP mark for Sidestep.

Tackle. You have only one.

Don't let anybody give you grief for running four TRRs. I carry (carried? Are they retired?) four on the Wildsquigz, because they need(ed) it. My "spare" team is at 1700 and only carries 3, because I don't want to burn the money. They started an AC/CL, and may keep it one or two more matches. But they also have a lot of Dodge and an AG4 Thrower, so they don't need the fourth RR quite as badly.

Tackle is perfect for blitzers, but you will need a little bit more :)

For Speddy McORc, Fend will be useful, hope for a double next!
Otherwise strip ball

Well first match done with Fend and I have to say I like it.

It gave me 3 situations against Lizards where my Thrower wasnt marked at the end of the turn after a Blitz against him (twice the Saurus would have needed to dodge to follow up and once he was out of GFI for it)

Accurate; you can pick up the ball and now you can lob it to another player.
