Up against my friend Hitonagashi's 1590k tv darkies with my own 1460k tv darkies..

Here's the tournament:

TV difference .. 130k which is 20k shy of wizard.. Not enough money to pettycash or sneakhire any players. I am fairly confident he will bring in a loner to go up to 11 players, but I also need to bring in a loner to go up to 11 players.

So my options are:

A) accept that we have 130k difference, go with 2x babes
B) fire the runner for one off match advantage, replace with journeyman -> induce wizard with the 160k we now have in difference
C) fire a reroll (not really considering)
D) not hire the 11th loner to shave 70k and get babe + wizard against his 11man team.

Anybody got a better option?

High stakes in this match as the winner goes against a 2k tv 10man dark elf squad and we get to induce morg + possibly wizard making the winner of this game a favourite to reach the DE XFL final match, against an undecided opponent.

Well you currently have 200tv before any journeyman is considered? Noting of course he may not go for a journeyman as well...

I would go for a merc over a journeyman. A lineman with a skill would be 150k leaving 50k for a babe.

Or a runner, assasin or better a blitzer and babe. Or ditch the babe for a skill. Alternatively just a witch though this would be something of a liability.

Lino with dirty player and babe would be a risky strategy to try and get a numbers superiority.
Or a blitzer and babe to try for a bit more speed and hitting power. A block dodging blitzer is also possible, or a bltizer with tackle to try and make up for the lack. A lino with wrestle could help to get the ball free.

Finally just go for a numbers advantage and have a journeyman and a merc?

Do nothing and take two Babes, or fire the Runner for the Wizard? Prolly the latter, as it's a tournament and Hito's loaded nicely on Tackle. Not a no-brainer decision, I must say.

that's a quite good 3rd option really.. Skip a loner for eldril. The thing that is holding me back is the fact that hito will be ballcarrying with his ma8,st4,ag5,freak so even after hypno I got nobody who can get clean hits at him..

Bumpity bump. Readied . Went with the loner..as Carnis said, it just made sense.

I'd go for the wizard. That's your best option to win this one. The difference between having the runner compared to a journeyman is negligible.

In the end, went with the wizard & fired the runner, it was the right choice.. Bolted ball on T6 of first half, stole it but mispositioned one of my screen men 1 square and hito ran through the screen for a tackle 2-die finishing the half.

The second half I got a good shot on his ball but failed the 2+ pickup on the bounce with a reroll on my ma8 dodger. He had the better team, in the end it counted more than my plays. I also scored too quickly on my own half, but that wasnt an issue as I still had the wizard so was on my way to a 2-0 win.
