Thanks for you input, in the end I decided on Fend for super-skink, and took Mighty Blow for the saurus as I figured it'd get more use than dodge at this point.

Play-offs started last week, and I got a 2-0 win over a very battered Skaven team. Khemri up in the quarter finals, with either Chaos (2-1 loss) or Undead (1-1 draw) if I get through to the semi finals. The other half of the draw sees match ups between Wood and Dark Elves and Necro and Ogre. The star skink levelled after a TD and the MVP last match, and rolled a single this time.

mmm... the best skills are already taken : Sure Feet, or -maybe- Jump Up for the defensive drives (you got a short bench, so I suspect that super-skink see a lot of defensive actions).
I'm against Diving Tackle on this skink: you want to preserve him from blocks, and it got bad sinergy with Fend

Late as you've already taken fend but would have considered hail mary pass as an option for the star skink, to punt the ball down field when you are faster than the opposition.

I'd go for Jump Up.
With Fend, you will sometimes end up in a position where he's on the ground but not marked. The ability to get up and move 8 is very nice.

I second the HMP suggestion, a Sure Hands/HMP skink would be my dream in my team, instead I went all aggressive and I have a block/Guard skink instead... useful, but not as game-changing as HMP.
