So I was looking at my CDw Blockers, and it is interesting that they don't have many skills that make sense for them.

For normal rolls, Guard and MB are GREAT skills.

After that you'e got Stand Firm and Piling On, and then maybe Grab and Dauntless

For doubles you've got a few agility skills: Dodge, JU, SS

And for mutations you've got: Claw, P Tail, and Foul App.

One good build, if you are lucky enough to get two doubles, would be MB, Claw, PO, JU

A less lucky build would be Guard, MB, SF, Grab, and Dauntless (depending on your division).

overall is really looks like Claw is the only really doubles value - SF is about as good as SS, Dodge is a decent skill, but I'd rather have claw then better line fodder. For mutations Foul App is similar to Dodge, and P Tail isn't great on a MV4 player. Even PO is risky when you only have MV4 without JU...

Thoughts?

I'm really tempted to hire a mino but everyone say it's a bad move ...:(

I picked one up for my CDw team when I found myself regularly being 200-300 TV below my opponents.

He had 3 CAS in 3 games (actually all in one game!) and didn't really cost me anything. Overall though I wasn't impressed though either.

If you can guarantee at least two doubles that would change my mind...block+claw or block+tents would be worth the TV...

Minos are good at low value in leagues, and not good in matching formats. At high value, they're a gamble, but they take some skill to pull off. This makes them good for good coaches with underdog teams, but if you're losing for a lack of bash (coaching) skills rather than a lack of bash (player) skills, they won't help your cause. As a Pact coach, I find the Mino's best feature is his combo of support and aggro. Keep him positioned well, and he makes an excellent bulwark: more threat than non-Frenzy guys and even if he fails his antiskill he doesn't lose his zone.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Based on a season or so with Mino now it seems that he adds a few things to your team:

1) Frenzy (and I gave him juggs)
2) Strength since he blitzes as ST6.

There are both valuable but more so against other bash teams. One recent match he injured Ramtut which was very helpful especially because he only needed one guard dwarf around.

Of course at the same time he's had games where he has done nothing - like my last game. One knock down, then locked up with a Lineman...double down...and won't get up for the rest of the half - he turned an easy drive into a hard one by his individual efforts.

So I would suggest only taking one if you are in a bash heavy division. Agile teams will run away from him and at mid to high tv you will likely have blitzers with tackle, MB and likely claw...
