Also in the Long Thrower list I'd include Sure Hands if you aren't playing a team with Sure Hands on the Thrower.

For the Short Thrower I'd go Dump Off, Block, Safe Throw, and Dodge if your Thrower can get Agility skills. Assuming you can get NoS you don't really need Accurate.

Problem is a lot of these combos include doubles. My Orc thrower has block, accurate and safe throw - if he doesn't get a double for his next increase I dunno what I'm going to pick, but it probably won't be dump off.

It's not a problem, it's a condition. :D

Any good skill progression should include what a doubles roll will be. The chance of you not rolling doubles in four skill rolls is 48%, in five is 40%, and in six is 33%. So it probably is premature to expect to get a doubles roll in the first four skills, but it will come up sooner or later.
