With just strip ball and a 1d block your ogre is dropping it 2/3rds of the time without Sure Hands. If I've wrestle 5/6th of the time (which safteys usually do). With Sure Hands it plummets to 1/6th of the time, or 1/3rd with Wrestle. Hope my math is right but you get the idea. I'm even quite happy to do a 2d your choice with my normal Strip Ball/Wrestle/Tackle safteys vs that Ogre if he goes Pro as you're looking at only a Skull not to drop the ball.

Sure hands... We're looking to save 0-2 rr/game with sure hands, let's say 1 per game.
(...)
So, why sure hands (if opponent don't have strip ball, that is)?
Sorry for being slow :-?
Well, just my opinion...

1) Why only 0-2 rr/game?
With my Khemri Thrower I was able to fail 8 pick-up in a game
2) Failed Bonehead isn't turnover.
Failed pickup is turnover and often gameover, too
3) Pro is for the desperate or "not really important" rolls.
Otherwise I use a TRR.
4) If my leaguemate got a blodge S5 carrier, I will take some Strip-Ball

I can't believe Strip Ball. With MA5 it does not give much of a pursuit range. Also the blitzers would be doing stuff about that.

IMO there needs to be a nice collection of Tackle to ward off all those dodging teams and there are quite a few teams and positions with dodge.

I think you mis understood. He doesn't mean stripp ball on the ogre. He means that he, as an opponent, would take stripp ball when that ogre would NOT take sure hands.

Sure hands, this guy is your go to handler. Just need break tackle when he doesn't roll a double and you are sweet. Or +ag then you are GOLDEN

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

In fact you need more break tackle, you would be Amazed how useful it can be escaping those tarpit linemen and going somewhere useful

Piling On is good for this too... just kill them all, then you can go where you want :)

Well, MY blodge ogre was not that lucky to roll the double but it roller 6+4.

I doubted for the breack tackle but gave him the +mov instead. The blodge ogre won me the game against skaven.
