Re: Worst Positional
Given the "choices" I went with deathroller.... From a more undead point of view: either the throw-ra or ghoul (the latter because they lack regen and just keep dying!)....

Nowt wrong with the Norse Thrower.
In fact, nowt wrong with any on the list (excepting the DR, which should have stayed a Star Player).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: Worst Positional
I like most of the teams. I suppose Dark Elves could have fewer blitzers.
DR should be a star player choice. I remember when you could higher pump wagons.
Variant DRs should be allowed for say CDs and Skaven.

Re: Worst Positional
I'm shocked that people (albeit few of them) are voting for the Orc troll. In my experience he is a great boon for an orc side, providing another Guard piece, increasing their already great strength advantage, as well as providing the desperation 1TTD option.
Maybe folks are thinking of a TV matched environment and consider him to be too much bloat? Or maybe Tournament play where he can't be afforded without major sacrifices?

Re: Worst Positional
Dark Elf Assassin & Dwarf Deathroller.
I think the Norse Thrower does a good job at being a Leader caddy and enables the two turn passing play. All that for just 20K on top of a Lineman.

Re: Worst Positional
A few throwers are a waste of time, but on the other hand the 20k extra they cost plus the 20k for leader means they are cheaper than a reroll, so thus not a waste.

I did not mean that they're not good players (they're excellent) or that they're not good values (being very expensive, they're only a fair bargain).spubbbba wrote:Bull Centaurs!
What?! Who's running successful thriving Chaos Dwarf teams without a centaur or two? I've always viewed them as a pretty essential (read: necessary) part of the CD lineup, especially at higher TV. Without a centaur(s) one might as well play Regular Dwarves or Chaos, depending on what he is she is looking for from the team.

The Blackbox on FUMBBL is full of them; they are more TV efficient than Chaos, and you can get multiple minmax killers at 13-1400, before the opponent has any way of defending them. The fact they come with block/tackle for 'free' means that you can take on even elves with ease.
For example, these ones took me about 3 minutes to find, I think there's over 50+ teams pretty much identical to these:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=652924
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=697563
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team& ... _id=654080
If you play much in the box, you can pretty much guarantee to run into one of these teams if you play at that size. People use them as an easy way to pimp their CR.

Re: Worst Positional
The Orc Troll is so good on that team, so cheap, so durable, that I'd actually be up for removing him from the roster.
I can fix the Deathroller so he never makes one of these lists again. Just remove it from the Dorf roster...
...AND GIVE IT TO THE GOBLINS!!!

Nah, goblins have enough secret weapons as it is. Too many and they’ll end up with half their team sent off or in the casualty box by the 2nd half.SunDevil wrote:The Orc Troll is so good on that team, so cheap, so durable, that I'd actually be up for removing him from the roster.

I’d much rather create a Dwarf warhammers team with 5/3/2/8 thick skull, G access linemen and the rest of the team being made up of a chainsaw, bomb, blunderbuss and remove the deathroller from the normal dwarf team for them to have. Give them 50K bribes too and watch the carnage when they face off vs goblins.
It may help to alleviate the hatred for Dwarfs if there is a fun version of the team.
Agree with you on the Troll, either that or Orcs lose goblins. TTM should be only for tier 3 teams or if you hire stars.

You...want...to make DORFs...Gobs mortal enemies...a BETTER Secret Weapon team...than the GOBLINS?!?!?!
<whump> <---passes out...
Okay, what to the who now? I'm back! Goblins should have all the cheating, scheming Secret Weapons and NO ONE ELSE!

I'm with you on taking the Goblins away from the Orcs as well. But don't steal the ONE unique thing about Goblins - the WEAPONS - and share it with the the Dorfs!

Re: Worst Positional
Come now Chance... A fluff-lover such as yourself has to acknowledge the background of the dorfs being pretty consistent cheaters, with their rollers and explosives and blah blah... Don't let your love if goblins blind you to the right way of thingsSunDevil wrote:spubbbba wrote:Nah, goblins have enough secret weapons as it is. Also, I think the idea of substituting various secret weapons and such for the dwarf positionals does sound like a much more fun and interesting roster! Hop to it!
