Re: Doubles on Pact Dark Elf
It's the limitation of big guys. You have to use their passive abilities wisely before activating them. Ogres are usually ok. BTW can a non boneheaded ogre (ie not failed roll) give the+2 bonus for a troll?

The Scrumpers (Wood Elf)
Gitmo (Chaos Dwarves)
Sheik Ya Bouti (Khemri)
Fast and Furry (Skaven)
The Disposables (Halflings)

Strict reading of the rules says it just needs to be a standing, non-Really Stupid player, so even a Bone-Headed Ogre gives the assist.Smurf wrote:BTW can a non boneheaded ogre (ie not failed roll) give the+2 bonus for a troll?
If there are one or more players from the same team standing adjacent to the Really Stupid player"s square, and who aren"t Really Stupid, then add 2 to the D6 roll.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

That's how it works in FUMBBL.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.

Quite a team you've got there! With all those +AG's, the dark elf is starting to look a bit redundant.
If you have only a few games left for the team, then Guard is probably a good pick. Side step next. Even though Guard and Leader are normal skills for the marauders, you only have unskilled marauders right now who could pick up soon. And a marauder with nothing but Guard is really bad compared to a blodging AG4 Guard.

You say you are playing skaven? You don't seem to have much tackle.

Re: Doubles on Pact Dark Elf
Eh, I just went for Sidestep. I give him the ball more often than not,and figured it would go well with blodge. Served me pretty well in my last game of the regular season (which meant absolutely nothing), as I was able to chain push myself away from slann blitzers (of which the opponent had all four - might be a bad strategy, but it's certainly a hassle).
After a series of upsets, I will actually be facing a very veteran (~45 games, whereas most in the league are retired after no more than 30) Necromantic team in the first round, and then the skaven. It's true that I might very well regret my lack of Tackle.
Thanks for admiring the team, Ullis. I've been glad of the AG and doubles, as I wanted to avoid turning them into a total killer side. I've actually gone through a lot of players (meaning killed or crippled, not cut for lack of doubles); I believe I'm on my fourth skaven and third troll. My previous dark elf had +1 AG, leap, horns, wrestle and tackle, but lost a point of agility after being pushed into the crowd on a 3-die uphill block from a snotling. Maybe that's why Sidestep was calling out to me.
