oh if it's an ogre team i'd think about dodge...somebody has to do it sometimes...plus it would help him stay up even better.

Which roster type?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Hmmm, then I'd definitely take MA. He can develop into a decent Blitzer then. Had the same problem once, gave the Ogre MA+1 and never regretted it.
What I regretted was Frenzy as 1st trait for a former Rookie Ogre. Would take Stand Firm or Pass now.

Why the regret?

Of course it's an ogre team, since he mentioned at least 3 different ogres in his first post, and goblins can only get two.

I'd have taken leader without hesitation. I garanty you'll regret not having taken that. 2 rerolls is way too few.

Probably wasn't an Ogre team so he wasn't allowed to use Rerolls. No Block and no Reroll with Frenzy would really suck.

Read more carefully. It was an ogre team, as was made perfectly obvious in the first post of this thread!

Point. However, waiting a bit for Block probably wouldn't be too much of a problem.

I was referring to Mirascel's query. You should read more carefully.

omg :o

just finished my 3rd game... heres where i stand.

3 orges missing next game... 1 with nig, and 1 with str 4.
2 gobbos missing next game.
1 gobbo with a skill (probably stepaside)

also bought a new orge.

last game was horrable!
i played orks and it started off with a blitz agenced me... and he got morlys revenge on the underdog roll. he got orge orgeand a gobbo,

the 1 orge was pooping ALL GAME.

next kickoff was a pitch invasion(which i lost) and ko'ed 2 orges and stunded a gobbo.

we go into over time at 1-1 i have 3 orges on the pitch and 4 gobbo, im kicking to him.

guess what we roll? a pitch invasion(i lost) which ko'ed 1 more orge and stuned everyone else execpt 1 gobbo. he gets pushback on the blitz to gobbo and runs the ball. gobbo trys to dodge, and fails a go for it and gets injered. orge gets up to blitz(just for spp) and rools dubble skulls.

o well i happens....

i did take the mv on the orge and now he has break takle too... next skill is sure hands.
have 2 others with block.

thx

Every Blood Bowl player (except Throwers and the odd Kicker, Dirty Player, Dodger or Sure Hander) will want Block as soon as possible, unless they roll doubles, MA, AG,or STR. And most certainly every Ogre will want Block quickly, especially if he has MA 6.

I'd usually agree with you, but I think that Sure Hands is the correct choice in this case. Even without Block it's hard to take a ST 5 ball carrier down, and with Break Tackle and +1 MA he's makes for an awesome ball carrier.

Block is a must, even (especially?) on a S5 player.

1/2 dice blocks against you are much less likely to suceed. Also if a strip baller 1/2 dice blocks you, you can choose the both down.

But most importantly, what about when he doesn't have the ball? What about when you want to block/blitz with him?
