Thanks, SunDevil. Yes, I like to maximise mobility on clumsy teams. Not just for scoring options, but also for surprise options, such as the sneaky blitz.
Thanks for the tip on D-Player. I need to get a Skelly to 6 SPPs first! Seems to take ages with this team.
All the best.

Thanks Smeborg.
Being tricked with the same weakness for "retarded" teams (Nurgle, Halflings, Gobs, Khemris, etc.), I always read your posts with interest and attention.
I wish you all the best with your new team ! (What is the race?)

Just as a point, Khemri depends heavily on your environment.
They really are poor against elves...but against Blackbox teams (and presumably Cyanide ones), they are wonderful. Lots of cheap, thick skulled fodder, cheap DP's, easy MB/PO, mass high ST guard, lots of MB....it's like the perfect "stuff Chaos" formula!
I played them for 60 odd games in Box, and I loved it. Sadly, I've half-retired the team due to a combination of having 2 mummies RIPed in the same game, and a +ST +AG +Ma Blodge thro-ra (yes, that is an actual problem in a TV matched environment. when the rest of your team is dead..)

Do you have multiple accounts, I only see 35 games?Hitonagashi wrote:I played them for 60 odd games in Box

But yeah a lot of coaches have great records with Khemri on fumbbl so they definitely seem to thrive when playing about equal TV matches like Ranked and Box provides.
My own box team is 13-6-1 and my only loss was a 0-4 humiliation against wood elves, can't wait to get another shot at a good elf coach again, can't believe it should be that hard to crush them. They really are poor against elves...

My main race this season has been Underworld, who did well, finishing 2nd in our 16 game league of 9 teams (behind Undead, ahead of Ogres!). I play a number of races in our friendly secondary league, of which the most active at the moment are Khorne and Khemri. Next year I am thinking of playing Slann as my main race. The main problem with them is that they are ultra-squishy, but I have learned how to play them a bit already (won my first tourney with them!).Alu-Cinator wrote:I wish you all the best with your new team ! Which made you King of New Zealand, right? At least that's what I heard on a podcast...Smeborg wrote:Next year I am thinking of playing Slann as my main race. I can't claim that, there is no official NZ tourney, although this is the biggest and I think the longest running tourney in NZ. Very satisfying as I lost in the final a few years back. Also my first ever tourney win, I seem to come second in small tourneys with monotonous regularity.

If we get to be King of Comedy, Smeborg gets to be King of New Zealand!Smeborg wrote:I can't claim that, there is no official NZ tourney, although this is the biggest and I think the longest running tourney in NZ. Thus it is our decree that henceforth, Smeborg shall be known by the title King of New Zealand, Victor of the Unofficial Championship, Prince of Christchurch, Hetman of all Sheep and Kiwis, etc.
Next: Comedy declares war on New Zealand! A naval endeavor, I assume.

Sounds good! When we first dubbed Smeborg 'King of New Zealand' we were worried it would not catch on!
Paul - just wait until the next time you are on the show and we introduce you as the King of New Zealand!
What team did you win the tourney with again?

With Slann, believe it or not. My first tourney with them, and not long since I started playing them. I tried fitting many of my "favourite" teams into the tourney format (Underworld, Chaos Dwarf, Nurgle, Khemri), but they just wouldn't go at all. IIRC the format was TV110, 3 skills on day 1 (1 of which could be doubles), same again on day 2. I figured it was all about maximising the doubles. I took:SunDevil wrote:What team did you win the tourney with again?
4 Catchers, 8 Blitzers, 5 RR, Apoth
Catchers: Dodge, Guard; Dodge. Guard
Linefrogs: Wrestle; Wrestle
The main decision was whether or not to take Strip Ball. Won the first 5 games, including a first game 4-1 demolition of a good Orc coach who had a winning record against me (when I play other teams). The Orcs got their TD on turn 16. Lost only the last game 1-2 against a club-mate with Amazons, who did not fail a roll in the whole match. Strip Ball would have seen him easily beaten, though, I suspect. Bash teams were the easiest to beat (Orcs and Norse). I guessed correctly that there would not be much Guard in the tourney.
I did a full write up in the tourney section, IIRC. All the best.

This seems to be the beefiest Khemri discussion in this forum, so rather than making an extra thread I thought I might borrow this one.
I have a newish Khemri team, having played 4 games (currently 3W-1D-0L). One of my Blitz-ras just got his first skill and rolled 5+5.
Dodge has been recommended to me. So has Jump Up.
I thought Side Step or Diving Tackle would be good.
I am seriously thinking about taking the +MA.
Any experienced khemri coaches want to weigh in? Here is the team.

If you want to use the double, take Dodge. Jump Up sucks if you don't have Mighty Blow and Piling On yet.nick_nameless wrote:This seems to be the beefiest Khemri discussion in this forum, so rather than making an extra thread I thought I might borrow this one.

If you want the classic route, either Mighty Blow, Guard or Tackle (if your League has many teams with Dodge);
I would take Mighty Blow.

Mighty Blow. Getting cute is for late picks. Doubles are for Skeleton Guard and Guardian Block.

I'd tale tackle or mighty blow depending on league composition.
