If half time were removed and instead every 4th turn you get some rerolls back and a chance to recover KOs and return players to the match then it may help encourage teams to delay scoring less, because the change of possession at half time is so important. It would also reduce the effectiveness of 1 turn scorers.
Ah, edition 2! You played until someone scored 3 TDs, and you could move players from the dugout to the pitch on your turn when you had less then 11 on the pitch.

Clock control was not at all important, but the team that lost the coin toss had to be able to get a stop!

Maybe it's just a different animal, but as a Slann coach I almost never stall. I am also encouraged when my opponent does, because if they don't grab the score when they can there is a really god chance that they will have a stack of frogs in their grill making it tougher next turn.

This question, as with so many in Blood Bowl, is very subjective and situational.

It would also remove huge amounts of nuance and skill from the game. Removing/discouraging stalling isnt tricky... doing so without seriously damaging the game is the tricky part. IMO its the kicking/recieving mechanics that encourage stalling more than the existance of half time per se (although that is obviously a core part of those mechanics).

That's what makes it so cool.

What is Nuffle's view? Through a window, two-by-three. He peers through snake eyes.
What is Nuffle's lawn? Inches, squares, and tackle zones: Reddened blades of grass.
What is Nuffle's tree? Risk its trunk, space the branches. Touchdowns are its fruit.
