Hell yeah you can make use of him. Mostlikely your opponent won't be able to keep tabs on him since all Chaos Dwarf blockers look the same. So when you are getting stuffed and you just can't seem to move the ball lure your opponent's blockers away from then toss the ball to him. He may be slow but he can probably hold onto the ball while you work a hobgoblin free to score with.

Also you never know when that AG 3 will allow him to dodge free to blitz the ball carrier.
Keep him!

Get rid of him. A guy in my league has had an AG3 chaos dwarf for about 4 games now and it's come in handy only once, by allowing him to make a dodge that he wouldn't have attempted otherwise.
Guard, Mighty blow, Piling on, Pro and many others would be tons better than the AG3. Get rid of him and develop another player from scratch.

There's a reason i don't have anymore data to back this up. Everyone else in my league who's ever had a dwarf longbeard or a chaos dwarf blocker roll +1AG has always fired the damn fool!

Huh. That's their loss. I loved mine and he had a long and successful career. He even caught some TD passes before he retired! I had a troll slayer with an AG uprgade as well. Nothing was funnier to me than a long pass from my longbeard to my slayer for a TD!

I would keep him !
Imagine : he just became a hard-hitting hobbo ! Slower, but how dangerous ! He already has Block, give him sure hands and if possible stand firm and you got a reliable ball carrier, that can more easily catch, throw or pick-up the ball !

Yes, but who wants anymore hobgoblins on their team? And at 70k a piece? I want more dwarves on my team, not more hobgoblins! If he indeed became a hoboblin, then that means you're now left with only 5 chaos dwarves. What a shame.

I would have thought that a single +AG CD might be useful. After all its not like you can only have 2 of them and it means you have a CD who can be used to pickup the ball or take a handoff at a pinch. It also means your AG balance within the team is a bit better - effectively allowing you to play your +AG CD instead of a Hobgob.

What I meant is a bit more like what ianwilliams said : out of 6 CD's, you get one with a better AG. Instead of having a hobbo carrying the ball, you can have this AV 9/Block guy carrying it. You can still us it to flatten the opposition, but he as well be an offensive menace.

You definately want to keep him! Just having him around gives you 4 AG 3 players on the field and you never can tell when tht's going to come in handy. Hobbos can't always be relied upon to be there next turn. Know what I mean?
I'll take any stat upgrade with my CDs. Sometimes you don't need it but when you do... You'll be glad he was there.

Keep him, with stand firm and guard he becomes an awesome defensive guy. With the ability to pick up stray balls lying around.

That's IF he rolls a double for stand firm. And even then, in its current incarnation, stand firm isn't nearly as useful as it once was for dodging.

Maybe not, Zomb, but it's still a great trait to have.
