Double 5 and 6 on skills rolls.
In my league last night 2 of my norse linemen got rolls on the skill table, this is the result-
1st roll- double 6. +1S, any skill or a trait? (has Block)
2nd roll-double 5. +1MV, any skill or a trait? (has Block and Tackle)
What do you think?
Im thinking go with the +1S for the 1st lineman, and maybe Dodge for the 2nd?

Definitely +1 ST on the first guy. Only in extremely unusual situations do you pass up a strength increase, and this isn't one of them.
Hmmm, the other is less clear. Dodge is a good choice and your lineman would then sit well on the LoS (since it reduces further your chances of being knocked over). Before doing so, you should consider whether you have lots of dwarves in your league.
The movement increase is also nice. The fact that no other Norse can naturally move 7 squares makes this particularly useful. Do you have any other players who have gained +1 MA?
Other possibilities: Leader (except if you've got loads of re-rolls), or Guard (if you've not got one of those yet).
Cheers,
Martyn

Another thing to consider with stat increases. Whenever rules are changed in this game, its usually the skills and not the stats that get modified. So taking the stat increases gives more security down the road.

Definately the +1ST for the 1st guy. It happens so rarely you'd be mad to pass it up. For the 2nd guy I'd take guard as he's extremly useful next to your frenzied Blitzers (I had 3 linemen with guard).

Keep the +1MA on that guy and turn him into a defensive specialist since he already has Tackle. Give him Diving Tackle on doubles if you want your league mates to hate you
I once had a MA8 Block, Tackle, Diving Tackle lineman who was a terror. Of course he was cut down before I could give him Shadowing!

Well i went for +1S on the 1st guy, and Dodge on the 2nd. I played against our leagues orc team last night. This was his line up-
4 Blockers(1 with block)
3 Blitzers(all with block)
6 Linemen(2 with Block)
2 Throwers
His line of scrumage was-
Lime, Blocker, Blitzer, Blocker, Blitzer, Blocker, Blitzer, Blocker, Line
The final score was 3-0 to me.....but it was at a price. My lineman with the new skill-Dodge was killed when for the 3rd time in a row he was surounded by 3 blockers and 3 blitzers and fouled. The same fate came to another lineman 2 turns later. Also he managed to SI my +1S lineman followed another lineman at the end of the game. Lucky for my they were only concused.
I hate orc
But i hate Dwarves more
