Two doubles!!

Post by RevolutionaryRat »

Hi..I rolled doubles for two team members..a line rat and a gutter runner.

The gutter runner is niggled.

Both are on their first skill roll.

I have only 3 re-rolls, and another GR is already a one-turn scorer. I have one other GR with block.

Any suggestions (not you Andy!)

Thanks,

Brian

P.S. I was thinking Leader for the LR and very long legs on the GR, just tosee if I can get 2 one turn scoreers eventually....

Linerat you should take either guard or dauntless, personally i would take guard but both have their uses.

Hmm, I agree with guard on the linerat, but dodge would be another possiblity and very tempting.

For the gutrunner, turn him into a defensive player. Dauntless for blocks, Spikes for survivablilty. Hmm, can't think of a better double use for a GR off the top. I am sure some other guys can though.

I'd probably fire/retire the niggled player, Its his first skill and it sounds like he wont be missed.
As for the Linerat, Guard has its uses, but how can you pass up the chance to take a physical ability, Your StormVermin can take guard as there skill so its not like you cant get this skill,
Claw or foul appearance would be nice.

Why would I retire the GR? All I get is a 10,000 gp asst. coach! It is my third GR, and I would hate to have wasted the 80k!

Claws for the linerat. Possibly Leap for your gutter runner if your one-turn-scorer doesn't have it - use him for a trick play.

Guard for the lineman, to be followed by foul appearance.
VLL for the GR.

Foul Appearance for the line rat - not only does it help protect him from blocks but helps on pass defence too. The combo with Pass Block can be very useful.

GR- Dauntless and then if you get another double horns.

Having experimented with a Foul Appearance theme with my Linerats I can safely say it ain't all that, you certainly need passblock to go with it. I'd suggest Guard or Claw for the linerat. I'd certainly say Dauntless for the GR. Block and Strip Ball for next standard skills, Horns if he gets doubles.

It is a difficult choice, but retiring has its advantages. You will want to get rid of him at some point probably, and doing so now has the advantage of keeping your Team Rating down (good for the handicap table and the post-match treasury table).

Remember that managing your team rating is now an important strategy in team development.

Skaven have to live with niggles. You can't afford to fire every niggled player on a Skaven team, there's too many of them. A double or two on a gutter runner is worth wearing a couple of niggles for. I'd probably sack him at 3.

I would say Guard for the Linerat, and VLL or Two Heads for the GR.

Hi-

I think I'll go with guard or claw for the lineman, and dauntless for the GR.

Marcus-My rats are called the "Underground Revolutionaries", they wear red and their numbers are yellow. Every team member has a name with a historically left-wing pun involved, except "Comrade Dynamo" the Rat Ogre, named after Dynamo Moscow. I think it's funny that we both have pinko rat teams. :)

As an Londoner, you might appreciate the name of one lineman : Ratt Skargill!

Heh, The Red Guard Rats also have the red/yellow theme going on. I'm still trying to mod up a couple of the linerats to wear caps and hold little red books so I can use them as cheerleaders.

Most of the team uses Cultural Revolution inspired names. Exception being "Mouse" Tse Tung the Storm Vermin Captain and "Skank" Kai Shek his number 2. Oh and Wu Tang the Rat Ogre :)

Oh, we also have a suitably Maoist slogan, which you can see below.
