My Wardancer (+AG, Side Step, Tackle) levelled up after a sweet 5-1 win against High Elves and rolled 3+3. What should I get him? Other suggestions re my roster are also highly welcome.

Btw it's a private perpetual league, 8 matches to go in the season, including 4 elvish team of various sorts, zons, two orcs and a Nurgle. Orcs are up next.

Here's my roster

WD - +AG, Tackle, SS, [double pending]
WD - Strip Ball, SS
CA - +ST, SS, Block
CA - +ST, Guard, Block
CA - rookie
Thrower - Dodge
Line Elf - Wrestle, Kick
LE - Wrestle, Dodge
LE - Wrestle
LE - Dodge
LE - rookie
LE - rookie
Treeman - Grab

4 RR

Mighty blow or guard personally. But your teams starting to look enxpensive, may need a light trim in the near future, possibly a re-roll or two off the top.

True, it's 1920 now, and 1950 if I pick a double skill for the WD.

For the skill-up, I'm thinking MB to smash heads against all the Elven teams I'm facing this season. Might make him even more of a target though, so maybe Guard is the safer choice.

I think you should do us all a favor and retire him.

Well Guard lets him leap in and give assists to the other dancer. But MB with tackle would be great against the elves and zons and still useful vs Orcs and Nurgle.

Don’t think there are any other decent choices and the extra 10K is well worth it for either of the 2 skills listed above.

With that league, I would go mb. He can get anywhere and punish those poor dodge, AV7 players.

M-Blow for me, too.
But if you want something different,
you can try Juggernaut followed by Frenzy at 76spp: no sideline would be safe.

Mighty Blow is just about always my first selection of doubles for a Wardancer.

But you have the two upgrades on him that would make me slightly lean towards Guard. Sidestep and + AG. You can now risk a 2+ Leap into position, use the Guard to cancel/give assists *and* your other WD is the Strip Ball guy. Sidestep will then minimize the amount of hits he takes in return.

I would probably take Guard only because this is the one team development that I would call for it over Mighty Blow...

With tackle hes the most 'hitty' on your team so I would consider frenzy or mb.

I would go frenzy as its the best with leap for silly crowd surfs, and pretty great knocking the ball free. You have 1 stripper so they need to use a SH player against you to move the ball = ag5 guy can now leap and frenzy just about any runner over to get the ball loose on defense. You only took ag5 for moving and blitzing so frenzy does back that ideal up in my books

I'd take MB too. Lots of AV7 to hit and with Tackle he should be doing the majority of blitzing against elves and amazons. On the other hand, Guard would help against Orcs and Nurgle so if you're really struggling against them, then take Guard.

If you're having trouble against inducements, then drop one RR.

MB

Time to hold the guy back. Let him get points from cas and look towards building the rest of your team up.

Alright, the majority voted for MB and I will go with that.

I'm also trying not to score too much with that piece, but he is the go-to guy when things go wrong and thus runs in a lot of "emergency TDs". Oh well, he will be busy anyway smashing squishies for the remainder of the season.

Scoring with the Catchers is not much better though, since they are also sitting in the 45 spp range. I really need to score with my Line Elves more often.
