Hope this isn't a repeat but search brought up nothing.

I've been wondering how people would rank the various teams in the Cyanide game in a perpetual league format (I know it's a bit different from LRB6 with the missing teams etc...).

Roughly I've put them something like:

Tier 1:
All elves, Skaven, Chaos, Orc, Undead, Necromantic, Dwarf, Norse, Lizardmen

Tier 2:
Khemri, Nurgle, Human, Amazon, Vampires

Tier 3:
Ogre, Halfling, Goblin

Just wondering what people think on this. I've searched online and found various other opinions but they're all quite dated or relating to Plasmoid's narrow tier house rules. Vamps seem pretty decent now and certainly I don't think they're that worse than Khemri or Nurgle. I might have been a bit harsh on Humans there, maybe they should be bumped up to Tier 1? Just looking for a general consensus for a league I'm going to start filled with quite a few rookies so I thought it would be handy for them when picking their teams, of course I'll also direct them to these forums for required reading.

How perpetual is the league you are considering?
People tend to not play for very long so Amazons and Humans should be tier 1.
Probably drop Chaos to tier 2.

You may need to re-think amazons, or do you mean at 2000tv+?

The time/stage/format of the league is going to make a big difference. Even perpetual is a vague term as some leagues use many tiered divisions with promotion and relegation and others use few if any tiers to separate new teams from developed.

Amazons will be tier 1 that fades to tier 2
Chaos will be tier 2 that rises to tier 1
Humans are possibly tier 1 that fade to tier 2
Some of the elves are more tier 1 than others in the beginning
Vampires are very coach skill dependent. They can be one of the most unstoppable teams in a league or one of the easiest wins.

It all depends on what data you look at, as has been suggested. There's a breakdown of the ~56k games played in FOL available here if you want it:

Sheet 1 - data and overall win%s.
Sheet 2 - individual team records
Sheet 3 - individual coach records
Sheet 4 - race vs race records
Sheet 5 - individual race records at TV brackets
Sheet 6 - table on passing and table/bar chart on SPP gain by race
Sheet 7 - Pulls up individual team's records by match
Sheet 8 - Pulls up all a coach's teams and their overall records
Sheet 9 - Pulls up all a coach's match records

The TV stuff is misleading - the game only records the post-game TV, rather stupidly, so take that stuff with a pinch of salt.

There are some pretty interesting data there. I was surprised how well khemri did, I'd allways thought them to be tier 2... And norse seems to do better when their TV increase which is also against what I'd expect. From those data it looks like plasmoid should take a look at the lizardmen and amazons as well.

Bear in mind the mean TV in FOL is about 1300.
