3 Gobbos on the LoS (Underworld)

I am currently playing Underworld in a semi-scheduled tabletop league (total number of games will probably be 20 or so). After 7 games, they are doing quite well (5 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss). I haven't played the Chaos Dwarfs yet, though, nor the league leader (Undead).
An important reason for their success is that I have begun putting 3 Gobbos on the LoS on defense when I feel the time is right. This has secured me a couple of results by allowing the Troll (now in second line) to throw a Gobbo on my first turn to secure the ball and/or a TD. Now I don't do this systematically, but 2 occasions that I remember are:
- Facing Ogres I felt the Troll was wasted on the LoS as he would simply be smacked (plus the chances of Ogres spilling the ball are quite high).
- Against Humies with 2 turns remaining in the match, and with a numbers advantage (11 vs eight) I felt it was my best chance of winning (it worked).
The manoeuvre works well if you have a RR in hand, you don't need to make the lob always, it is a threat. Sometimes your opponent (this happened with the Humies last night, it was late) will forget the possibility. If the ball is loose in the opponent's backfield, then the odds of scoring can be quite a bit better than a one-turn-score on your receive. [I've also got a result or two by throwing a Gobbo on offense, not always on the last turn of the half.] I feel a bit lucky, but there is a clear pattern.
I'd be interested to know what experience other coaches have of throwing Gobbos on defense with Underworld. Once you have the cojones to put 3 Gobbos on the LoS, you kind of start getting used to it.
