Double on an Ogre team Ogre

Hi, I have a "dilemma" of sorts, it's one of those "diamond slippers" dilemmas. Anyway, this Ogre rolled a double 5 and he currently has Block, +Str, and Break Tackle. I am wondering if I should take Dodge or Sure Hands? Although if anyone else has a great suggestion I'm open to that too.

Tackle is also nice.

Dodge is amusing in theory, depends home much Tackle there is around. Then again; who's going to be taking on a ST6 Blodging Ogre? A wasted skill?

SH is nice but will he hog yet more SPPs if so?

Leader?

Pro would get you half a re-roll on Boneheads, dodges, TTMs, pickups, and heck even Blocks and GFIs, all in one.

(Or Tackle.)

Pro will help (to a degree) to combat 'loner', but just imagine the damage he could wreak with tackle. 8)

There is no Loner on Ogre team Ogres.

Because he has BT and a ST, I would DEFINITELY go with Dodge. ST6 dodging into a cage will do it on a 3+ (with a dodge RR, nonetheless). Not to mention the defensive benefits of Dodge when the snots all already have it (I.e. the tacklers aren't going for the ST6 guy ;)).

Defenately Dodge!

not even close to any other Skill, except maybe +mv..

with BT and ST6 you can dodge 3+ into cages and 2+ into lose cages.

leader you can give a snotling if he rolls doubles. Pro would be fine on a human Ogre, but on Ogre teams Block Dodge Tackle are way better.

Sure hands but you can only use it once every drive.

Unless there is only strip ball opponents in your league it's gotta be dodge.

Can you combine BT and Dodge when dodging into cages? If so, Dodge :D

Failing that, Tackle. Think of the mayhem

Is there much Strip Ball in your league? I'd probably go Dodge though to be honest. Pro is a nice mention but the potential for that guy to wade into cages is too good.

Dodge would be my choice.

My first thought was Sure Hands just because it helps shore up something that seems to steal a RR from the Ogres every half - the pick-up. Sure, it might only be once a drive but it's important. And 6ST means nothing to a Strip Ball Wardancer who just Leaps in and pushes your Ogre star around and then suddenly the ball is al the way across the field after the standard Elf nonsense...

But even I can't pass up the Dodge/Break Tackle wrecking ball this guy would become!

The question is do you play against more fast teams? If so, Sure Hands. Do you play against more caging rinders? If so, Dodge!

Then roll another doubles and take the other one. :P

I have to agree that Dodge is probably the best choice. But I haven't seen anyone mention frenzy, and that could be all kinds of fun too.

These are words of truth. Not wisdom, but truth :smoking:

Might just be me, but I don't think Dodge/BT is that good. :)

BT based Cagebreakers are far too easy to stop (I've got a blodging one that goes in on a 3+ too), as your opponent just always marks him with a lino. Odds are BT will be used escaping the lino, so you can't crash the cage.

It all depends on your opposition:
Heavy Strip Ball - Sure hands
Average Elf teamset - Tackle
Heavy Bash League - Dodge
