Another diamond slipper dilemma for my Ogre team. I have a Block & Tackle Ogre who just rolled another double. I currently have selected Frenzy, but I am having second thoughts. I really have no offense on this team because I keep taking Block on doubles (of which I have a lot of) should I consider Sure Hands for this guy? Since he already has tackle I figured I should focus on hitting with him, but now I am not so sure. Any comment to sway one way or another would be appreciated. Also any good doubles I haven't mentioned if you want to provide insight on that as well, it would be welcome.

Pro? Dodge?

I'd wait for sure hands on the next double on a different ogre. But if you need it now it's definitely a solid choice.

If you're not in a hurry for Sure Hands I would take dodge on this one I think. It will make him very hard to knock over. Then your next normal skill would be Break Tackle.

I had a block, dodge and sure hands ogre and part from a double one on a GFI, the skills would have won me a league. Once he has the ball, he is unstoppable.

BTW: He got breack tackle at 51.

We have a Block/Dodge/S-Hands/B-Tackle Ogre in our league. Not nice. Luckily I have played the team already.

Frenzy! To make sure to crush all those pesky elf-blodgers which usually are the worst enemies for ogres (in my experience)

Let someone else carry the ball and skip the Dodge (which you need Break Tackle to have use for.

With Tackle this ogre must kill stuff. Dodge would just deviate from that path and he'd still be an awkward ball carrier without Sure Hands.

Carry the ball with a snotling. There's your offence. Just my two cents, no-one ever listens to me...

I'd go Dodge now, then Break Tackle. Ogres can really struggle against a Blodge heavy opponent, and having one that can easily get free (or can get into a cage) for a tackle-blitz will, I think, be hugely valuable.

Even before he gets BT, which would be a ways off, he can still try to dodge with a 75% success rate. And he'll be really hard to knock down.


Otherwise, Frenzy, Jump Up, or Piling On seem like the only remaining choices given that you don't want this guy carrying the ball.

You would think, but he is often boneheaded, so mostly he stands around killing my soul.
