I've got 2 lineElfs on block, dodge, guard and now they have both rolled a 6 and a 4. Not sure the extra MA is worth it? Was planning to give the sidestep?

+AV on both -- protect those Guards!

Side Step for a short or medium league: maximum pain in the XXX .
Maybe AV for a perpetual league (not too keen on AV usually, but I can make an exception for blodge-guard-AV9 )

Side Step for both. +MA is for positionals (any positional). +AV is a noob move, but if you play in a league with no/few Claws, it makes sense.

I like sidestep, but would consider fend as well, having a " free to move" guard piece on a Dark Elf team to help with the witches frenzy is not something to overlook, also defends against CPOMB if there is any in your league.

And yes I know they dodge on 2+ and have dodge....

+ma is cool but SS is much much better.
Blodge Guard SS is basically perfect DE/HE Lino.

This is not a situation I have faced. However, my experiments to give +AV to either DEs or HEs were failures; I concluded that a normal skill would have been much better. On that basis, and given the obvious excellence of S-Step in combination with the skills that these guys already have, I vote with the consensus for S-Step.
