I have several Amazons on the cusp of getting skill rolls. Is there any opinions or ideas on what I might take to help my team? I am relatively new to the BB scene so I am looking to you guys for some options.
Here are the guys who will be up for skill rolls:
Rookie Blitzer x2
Rookie Catcher x2
Rookie Thrower
Thanks for any input!

Do the blitzers have block already?

I like to give my blitzers guard on a normal roll.
On a double i am not sure since i have never got one, but i would have considered stand firm as this skill works great with both guard and dodge.
For your catcher i would say block on a normal roll.
For your thrower take either Surehands or Accurate on a normal skill, and Strong arm on a double.

Yeah the blitzers have block as a starting skill
I was thinking of giving the thrower HMP and one catcher diving catch. The other catcher I considered sprint or sure feet
My blitzers I had envisioned tackle, guard, or piling on. Stand firm was another......
So many choices

I'd say Asmodan was dead right. Amazons are the only team that can easily get block/dodge on their entire lineup. It's a huge advantage, but with their 7 armor and limited movement, the really need it. Block on the catcher, block or accurate on the thrower and guard on the Blitzers. Depending on what other teams are in your league, tackle might also be good, but Guard is always useful.

Blodgers are some really annoying players, and an entire team with blodgers is a huge nightmare for any opponents.
I don´t think you should give your thrower HMP since you have no good players to pick up the ball if it goes wrong.
You might succeed now and then with HMP but your catchers are not fast enough, agile enough and are too easily knocked down and injured for HMP to be useful for your team.

Would any of you consider piling on for a blitzer to help in getting CAS when I need them? the typical team I play is the slow power teams....or is this the wrong way to play this team? I guess I need to choose a style...

Well, in a sense your style has already been choosen for you. Brand new Amazons have a tough time getting a passing game going becasue they don't have any breakaway speed. If you get doubles on a catcher, Nerves of Steel is a great skill. Safe throw on a thrower will let you complete passes when there are people in the way, and then you can dodge away for a touchdown.
Piling on is a bit of a sticky wicket. You don't have the Mighty Blow yet, and it's my opinion that this is when that skill becomes really useful. You may want to try out that combo on one of your later blitzers, but especially if you are facing a lot of bashy teams, guards are a priority. If they have Dirty Players, you will also be a very tempting target with your 7 armor. Doubles on a blitzer or a linewoman should probably be dauntless, since you are strength deficent.
How do you run offence?

Can´t help you with how you should play, since everybody have their own playing style, and i have seen both the power style and throwing style work good for Amazons.
Piling On on your blitzer might work if he has the needed back-up, but it leaves him awfully vulnerable to fouling.
But i have not tried this myself so i don´t know how good it works.
If you decide to take Piling On, just be careful about his low AV and the fact that he needs 3 MA to stand up again.

How do I run offence? Poorly. In all seriousness, I haven't nailed down my style w/ this team. Since I play dwarves in another league I got caught up in the block block block mentality and paid dearly. In my last game I did manage to move the ball around vs dwarves but still got caught in a battle of muscle. I would like to see this team as a "short passing" team with the ability to run the ball after a catch. I have 4 blitzers that I use to try and open things up for my catchers to get clear. Bad rolls and more then likely bad moves destroy my whole drive and I spend the rest of the time playing keep away...

I was actually thinking that Dwarves were a good starting point for Amazons. Once you get more block and some guard, you will be able to run an old fashioned dwarf offence - slow, but reliable. Your catchers can flank out to the sides and force your opponent to put some people deep. In addition, everyone on your team has decent agility, so they are all threats. Sounds like you are running the team to its strength - wait, did you say you played your last game against Dwarves? They are the bane of the Amazon team. No wonder you had problems.

Actually you don´t have to score with your catchers since all your players have AG 3.
My new Amazon team have scored 5 TD and none of them have been made by my catchers.
This have happened mostly because my opponent have expected me to throw to my cathers and put many players around them.
So instead i find another solutions like throwing to my blitzers or whoever is in good position to catch the ball.
I might even turn my catchers into good blockers since they more often open up holes in the enemy line than they are getting the ball.

That seems to happen to me too in terms of catchers never getting open. I have been bitten hard in my short career by horrible rolling even if it is to my strengths so throwing to someone other then my catchers doesn't happen. Maybe I shouldn't care and just do it. Certainly doesn't hurt. I think I will go the blodger route though. That gives flexibility. Don't have to attack with blitzers.....my blitzers will get guard so they can deliver blocks more effectively in traffic....
