What do you think of this wood elf roster
12 line elves
6 fan factor
1 re-roll
1 apoth
Good, Bad, Suggestions?

Take another RR instead of another linemen, since you don't want to take positional players. I'd recommend at least taking one WD to break cages in the beginning of the league.

I think that roster would be fun for my Chaos team to kick butt on :D

I normally take:
1 Wardancer
2 Catchers
7 Lineelves
1 Treeman
5 Fan factor
1 Reroll

This gives you a big guy to bring down casualties on the LOS, and some very good players in the catchers and wardancer. Also don't worry about getting a thrower for some time, as you are better of making passing actions with your lineelves getting som SPP on them fast.

The only problem with this is that there are no apothecary, which may mean a severely hurt team after match one. So you need to adapt the lineup to the leage you play in. In my league we don't play tournaments, but just advance all of our teams, so starting a team without apothecary doesn't worry us that much, as we just start over if it is to destroyed. Besides you can get an apothecary after game one anyways.

I would have taken 2 rerolls as elves are masters of rolling 1 on the dices.

10 Lineelfs
1 Wardancer
1 Apo
2 RR
3 FF

Or
10 Lineelfs
1 Thrower
1 Apo
2 RR
6 FF

Both these rosters give you a great longtime development. Don´t worry to much about losing a Lineelf or two because you don´t need ten in late season. Buy Wardancers and a Treeman next.

One advantage with this lineup is that you force your Lineelfs to do things and gain skills. Once you get WD and catchers they´ll do most of the work so then it is good to already have developed Lineelfs.

10 Lineelfs
1 Wardancer
1 Apo
1 RR
8 FF

or no Apoth and 2 RR (buy Apoth at end of first game)

You need the higher FF. With the new rules, a low FF will kill the cash flow that an Elf team needs to develop properly.

I like Galaks suggestion except i think you should have 2 RR instead of an APO as RR are more expensive to buy after the league have started.

I'm a little skeptic on taking one wardancer as my only position player because he will be a quick target :(

i ve started a league with that lineup :

10 line
1 WD
2 reroll
8 FF

in the division there were 3 other tems including human, brettonian, and dark elves.

And that work pretty fine for me, i ve asked that question before and i ve hesitate a lot to start with. I was lucky enough do get no casualty, neither death a the first game (just a line missing the next game)

I must admit taht the first game you ll be really nervous because if you loose a player it will be hard to recover.

Buy an apo ASAP.

What should my first purchase be (after the apo) if using the above list

I would max out your Wardancers first, they are the most survivable. Follow with however many catchers u want, treemen then if u think u need/want them Throwers.

it just depend on the cash flow, personnaly i ve won 30k at first game, then at end of second i ve buy an apo, and then i had enough to buy a second wardancer. If i haven t had enough, i d probably buy a receiver first. But that really depend on the casualty or death in your team, buy position players as fast as you can, i mean if i have 10 line, a wardancer, and an apo, and 90k treasury, i m not sure i ll prolly buy a receiver or thrower, and i wouldn t wait for the cash income to buy a WD on next game.

But again, that really depned on the developement of your team, the opponents you re facing ...

The WD IS THE WE player...
With him you have good chances agaisnt dwarfs, as he can just leap over those fellows and pick the ball before they know what happened...

I would get for the "Galak with Apo"... :)
