I may just bring Orcs along to the DOT myself. If I do , I'll play the roster that I used at the recent Wodell invitational.
Very similar to yours, but dropping a BOB for a Thrower and bumping the FF by 1. You've got plenty of power as it is, I'd rather have the insurance of the extra ability to move the ball. And with a MA of only 5, any opponent with kick is going to make life difficult on kick offs.(And at least Marcus will have kick

) 2 throwers back gives you a better chance of picking it up after any kick-off. Plus, with an AV of 8 it's useful to have back up.
Now don't go kicking my a*se over there!

1,100,00 at the Dutch Open. Quite a few tournaments use 1,100,000. It makes Elves a little more viable.

If only it were 1,1 at the bloodbowl, then my team selection dilemma might sort itself out a bit. Still torn between varag and just grunts... the problem is from a purely practical view, varag is great value compared to getting a blitzer and a re-roll. Which for us inexperienced people is just too tempting, but he'll probably get singled out and mutilated, so after yet another aimless ramble I'm still not sure.

in response to deathwing, I need the third black orc. I use my black orcs on the flanks to help my blitzers. I know this sounds a bit weird, but black orcs are very affective threatening devices. The opponent is going to invest lots of their men to stop a simple black orc (I have seen many people using three players against one black orc), this gives way for my blitzers to score an easy touchdown. As i'm a firm believer in having about three scoring chances, the third black orc is a integral part of my game-plan.
Your suggestion however is very tempting (thought of it too). In a tournament my very well protected thrower got casualtied an my ball-handling was severely hindered!

My last league team started with just one thrower, but had to quickly add another as it just becomes a comical farce when you try to get someone other than a thrower back to the kick and they start spilling it around like some sort of wet fish...

God knows you need to save the re-rolls for when the black orcs decide it's double skulls time, or if you're being really adventerous when you try to do throw and catch.

black orcs really aren't that good in the beginning, so mainly i use them for diversion tactics (to keep attention away from the real threat: the blitzers). So if a black orc rolls double skulls on a block usually i just let him fall (serves him right).

I'd be happy to tie a Black orc without Block up with a single zombie if neccesary

Couple of black orcs on the front line with a troll is normally quite nice, then position the blitzers where you want them for your offensive blocks. I'm not a massive fan of black orcs myself, but they have their uses - like when you can't take any more blitzers...

the black orc in my teams never amount to something, except hanging around and acting stupid. Sure they have their plusses (one, that is) but until they have block, they ain't worth mentioning.
