ok,... imagine this it's 1-1 in the bloodbowl, your dark elves vs dwarves
you're down to 9 players from 13 cuz 2 are injured, one is knocked out
and 1 has a big head riding the pine and refuses to be on the pitch with his teammate. the dwarves' deathroller is fouled out, a slayer is knocked out, and he's mainly got longbeards left, aside from the 2 runners, 2 blitzers and remaining slayer. but he has 11 players and you're kicking off.........
what to do????
attack???
bid you're time???

need help... season's on the line.....
go ahead and start talking Todd :) :) :)

I dint need to see the second posting. Stay out of contact (as much as possible), surround him and hit him when an opportunity presents itself, or its now or never.

Just read your second post, i stick with my first instincts.

You HAVE to keep him back and bide your time. He'd love to drive leisurely down the field and score the winning TD on turn 8, so stall them! you may get an early opportunity to stop the cage if you can get round the back because either the kick is deep of he fumbles the kick off, but otherwise you're going to have to stick it out. Do the old tactic of keeping a line of elves 1 square in front of his cage and keep dodging them back so he can't block. If the trollslayer moves out of the pack nail it! IF you get the ball run like hell from anything with a beard. Let us know how it goes!

By the way - how did his TS get jump up that being an agility trait? Do you play a different edition?

I have to agree with Mortalman. Try for a deep kick, at least in the back half of his side of the pitch. Then if it works try to cut him off from getting it in the cage. throw everything into this as even if it fails you will have plenty of time to recover field position. If it scatters out or he otherwise foils you by getting inside then do the 1 square shuffle (again as Mortalman suggests). Delay him enough and he will not hurt your players and will eventually panic and try a mad dash for the endzone. NB while he waddles down the pitch set up a long range scoring chance with two players (the old run/hand off/run/pass/run/TD). At the very least he may drop some players out of his cage to cover. It also lets you attempt a TD on the last turn if/when his mad dash is cut down by your elves.

I used the same tactics twicw (1 semi and 1 final) to beat a much nastier, bashy Dwarf team to win the games. Hope it works formyou as well.

Oh and if you had a time out during Half time to ask the question, a "half-time team talk" if you will then sorry about the lateness of my reply :D :D :D .
