Have you used goblins with secret weapons?

Okay, now a small poll

1 which is the most fun secret weapon (for a goblin)?
2 which is the most useful secret weapon (for a goblin)?

Is it so, that secret weapons are open only for freebooters? Not possible to buy a for example a chainsaw guy to a team for good?

I want to try some secret weapons, but now wondering what secret weapons would be most fun or most effective (for a goblin that is).

Once I had to play against Bomber Dribblesnot and he is very annoying (until he gets ejected )

The ball and chain was less annoying even if it always went the right direction.

Dunno about the chainsaw and the pogostick.

I think that the most fun secret weapon is the pogo stick because it's so rarely used. It's incredibly funny to see a Goblin leaping and using 4 GFI's.

I think the most useful secret weapon, depending on if you allow them, are stink bombs. These aren't official, so you might not be able to use them in your league. They are like normal bombs, but have guaranteed knockdowns and no injury rolls, and their roll is 10+. Very useful for knocking down the opposing ball carriers and breaking up a cage.

If you don't use stink bombs then I'd take normal bombs for the abive reason.

Bombs are definitely the most effective. Ball and chain will cause many turnovers, chainsaws NEVER start until their blitzer is in range and the pogo stick is the vehicle of fools, unless you allow them to be thrown.

I'm about to start a squig experiment, so I'll have to see how that one goes.

i think the most powerful/dangerous one is the fanatic...esp if you have 4 of them like some guys i know used to in 3rd ed. very messy.

the chainsaw guy is overrated. if he fails to start the saw once you pummel him and then foul him. if he gets it started, you hit him and you don't HAVE to foul him because he hurts himself just fine by falling on the saw.

pogo guy sucks but is funny. bomber is funny and is ok...not as bad as pogo but not as good as the other 2.

It seems that everybody likes the bomb. And chainsaw isn't as good as it sounds. Pogo sucks but could be fun. Fanatic could be fun, too.

Maybe I try bomb first and then perhaps fanatic. Or pogo.

The chainsaw is fantastic against Av7/8 teams. Don't use him to blitz all the time, but use him to stand near the ball carrier - "dew wanna ta get inta ma cage?"

Bomb or chainsaw is the two best goblin weapons.

The Chainsaw is quite a good weapon! As mentioned prior to this post, it's fabulous against an AV 7 team, and it's also very useful for taking down Big Guy's. And for taking down Wardancers because Block/Dodge doesn't defend against the Chainsaw. And and and...

The chainsaw is a very fine weapon and definitely has its uses. On a Goblin team you'd definitely want both! It's just if I had to pick the best weapon I'd have to go with bombs because I fine them to be generally more useful for causing turnovers.
