Post by los_locos »

Hee people, if got this gobbo on a orc team!!

Gobbo
6 2 4 7 Right Stuff,Dodge,Stunty,+1 Ag,Catch,Block

So next roll wasn't a double nor stat increase. What skill do I take next???
Side step or sure feet?? Both nice but what do you guys think?

Have you considered Leap?

Personally I'd go with sidestep. It means you can run through someones lines and if you don't get knocked down you will be getting closer to the end zone :D

Leap? :o

Personally I wouldn't as that 3+ always ends in death.... but thats me

I consider it on pretty much any player that has increased his agility and has the chance. This little guy looks like a scoring machine, and I'd expect to see people game plan against him in the future. Leap lets you get over lines of players, and it makes things easier when you're trying to escape "Tackle" tackle zones and Diving Tacklers. I agree it's not quite as good on this little guy as it would be on other players as he's got Stunty, but it's something to think about. Sure Feet would probably be my next option.

I wouldn't go for Leap - that's a skill that is used by players that want to get into several tackle zones making the dodge roll too difficult. With Stunty, Dodge and AG4, you don't need Leap.

The other choices remain as: Diving Catch, Diving Tackle, Side Step, Sprint, or Sure Feet.

My personal feeling is that Side Step is the best of these choices, with Sure Feet probably being my next choice. Diving Catch isn't bad if you see yourself flinging the ball around a lot - so better on an Orc team with throwers than on a gobbo team.

Side step 1st

1) It means its near impossible to push him out of bounds
2) It means he can't be lined up for a double block

Both of these mean he lives a little bit longer, and AG4 stunty is just soooo nice.

I would also choose side step. With block/dodge he is really hard to knock down and you'll have fun with side step, cause you can use it often.
It'll take him through the defence.

I would take sidestep as well though diving catch sounds like a lot of fun to me. :D

Well, it's easy to forget that NOS is general, but it is a trait as well...
