Which is better Dodge/Stand Firm?

On an Orc blitzer I like the idea of being blodge, plus they are more likely to be doing some dodging at crucial moments when you need it to work, so that suggests dodge.
On the other hand, push backs are more commonly rolled on a block die, and stand firm can't be cancelled by tackle. Plus I'm thinking that it might be nice to have a player who never fails a dodge and causes a turnover.
Anyone ever tried both (on different players) to get a comparrison?

Well, take dodge: He will be a blodge guy, and with AG3, he could be usefull to dodge out from your opponent to make a blitz or some other crucial action.

Good question. Hmmm... I'd take stand firm.

Take stand firm, because you can always take Guard next and that's an annoying combo.

ideally, you want both. but im not sure how likely that is to happen. ask yourself what your team needs more. strength on the LOS, or scoring ability. really, you should be lacking neither, w/ 4 bobs and gobbos to score. if you need more defense, take stand firm, then guard. if you want your blitzer to do more scoring/break away blitzing, take dodge.

Dont forget that you dont reach the square if you fail the dodge!

I'd say go for dodge! But really, it depends on how you play your Blitzers.. mine are always running downfield, either making up the four corners of the cage around a gobbo or 3 corners + a ball handler... I then leave the BOB's on the LOS instead.. (and THEY get Stand Firm on doubles..)
But as I said, it depends on how you use 'em!

before they changed stand firm, i would have said it instantly. but now i'd say dodge definitely...you will find it is very helpful for orc blitzers both on offense and defense.

I take normally Stand Firm with Orcs but the troubel is dodge works fine with Block. Stand Firm need more Skill`s for good Combinations.

How have they changed SF?
Anyway... the git did roll a double eventually, but unfortunately that was for his ageing roll, so I have to console myself he didn't age but put up with a normal skill. Already has got MB, tackle and block any suggestions? Guard or strip ball I'm thinkin...

Iirc, the old stand firm you stopped in the square you were dodging to, so it was an auto sucess really.
