Maybe go with an odd number of groups with a wild card spot reserved for the best second place finisher? This way most teams will still have some shot at advancing by match day 3.

IMHO double elimination would solve that in the simplest way, but that would mean only 2 games for a lot of people IRL. In pbem it would mean only one game at a time, so we can forget about that. Wild card could work OK in some form or top 2 through from the group stage. Anyway, just something to think about for the next GG.

Another result to tie up loose ends: Ziggi - Father911: 2-1 (2-1) - this one we actually played to the end.

According to the latest update on the first post, it looks like group B is missing a team, any chance I might be able to jump in at the end of this thing?

I am sorry to tell you that we already wrapped it up. But feel free to keep an eye on the online leagues, as there is bound to be a new Gore Grail!

Well, I think I played reasonably well, but Pierre's skaven were flawless:

Rats 3 - Elves 2

Cas: 2 - 1

Dendron is the Gore Grail 5 Winner!

Not really flawless. I just had a bit more luck in some key situations. But thanks to warpstone did a good job to try to pull off the victory but the numner of the elfs was cut down...

Hi Ziggi,

Joe mentioned at the beginning of the thread that GG5 was to tide us over until the PBeM World Cup started. I guess we should bug him a bit now, eh?
