PbEM Tournaments?

So... anybody up for another PbEM tournament?

I'd consider organizing it if none of the experienced commisioners want to give it a go.

How would it work? I presume time-limits etc for games, but anything else?

I guess it's up to a general consensus of participating coaches; whatever people think is fun and fair.

For example, an idea was floated before that playing a double-elimination group phase might allow everybody to have a shot at advancing by the final group game.

I also like the idea of random team selection as done for gore grail: everyone picks a first-choice race that they'd like to play, but if two or more players pick the same race, then both are assigned random teams. You can only really do this in PbEM as there are no figs to worry about painting. Plus, it was interesting to play with an unfamiliar team in a competitive match.
