OLBBL closed

Didn't see it mentioned here, but OLBBL has closed.

Never played there, but I know a fair few people did.

Oh yes, back in the late 90s i played there alot. Even was part of the commish team for a year or two. Oh, the wasted nights ... trying to keep an ISDN connection open to Singapur playing a 4h match against a TR450 team ;)

Oh, and the Halfling Scribe program i wrote in 98 is still listed on their homepage ;)

Sad to see them finally close, but i can definitely see the reason for it. Was the last public 3rd Edition league also, right?

well it wasn't proper 3rd edition, had loads of horrible house rules as well, though I did play there as well

surprised they were going this long in all honesty, end of an era though ;]

kind of come full circle now as well with olbbl vs fummbl is now fumbbl vs the lrb5 options (bit of a generalisation)

I played there a lot, too. I dont want to miss it, and perhaps i wont found Fumbbl without the OLBBL

Wow, definite end of an era, fan or not. My first BB experience in 2000 (since 1994 of course!).
