in many (older) strategy guides i read of skaven players who are adviced to receive regenerate on doubles, but IMO this is not possible, because regeneration is a racial characteristic, isn't it?
has something changed since these guides were published, or am i wrong?

Giving it to players with physical access is an old rule.
