Hey all,
Got some questions I`m wondering about:
- what model do you usually base the captain of the team on?
- how much does a troll actually cost and what skills does he have? I`ve only found the star player troll and I guess it`s not the same rules/pts cost
- some models comes with chainsaws, can everyone use them for a certain pts cost or is it limited? Are there other weapons like bombs or stuff like that ya can buy as upgrades as well?
- can you only include a regular gobbo in a orc team or can you choose from the gobbo list and vice versa?
That should be enough for now.

1. Any model you like - there is no "Captain" on a BB team, at least rules-wise, so choose whichever you think looks most impressive/scary/whatever you're looking for.
2. Download the LRB 4 (from the
GW Specialist Games website), and the basic Big Guy Troll is there.
3. Under LRB 4, the only Secret Weapons are on Star Players, as listed in the rulebook.
Under the soon-to-be-released LRB 5, certain teams can buy certain Secret Weapons. Download the LRB 5 from the above website in the BB Vault.
4. Orcs can only hire Gobbos from the Orc team list, but seeing as Goblins are the same on the Orc list and the Goblin list, the questions moot anyway.

Okey, well here`s another question for ya (oh and thanks for answering them others Darkson!):
I`m now done with my Orc team and I really want to get cracking on another one (hey I like the hobby part of the hobby

).
The choice has fallen on Chaos Dwarfs.
How`s this for a list:
1 Bull Centaur
4 Chaos Dwarfs
10 Hobgoblins
5 Fan Factor
2 Re-rolls

I'm partial on ponies!
A friend who did well insisted that starting with as many skills as you can was cost effective and powerful.
2x Centaurs
1x Minotaur
2x CD Blockers
6x Hobgoblins
3 ReRolls
0 FanFactor
If you can stand to be without the minotaur, then that's 150,000 freed up for various positions and FanFactor.
2 Centaurs
5 Blockers
4 Hobgoblins
3 ReRolls
2 FanFactor
Only the replacable Hobs are in real danger with 7 AV, all others are safer at 9 AV, so you could reasonably expect to make it through the first game and maybe get an Apothecary with your winnings.
YMMV

I really like the sound of this one, especially from a modelling viewpoint.
Any other takers on a list?

What colour codes must I use on the bases for these guys?
Hobgobbos - grey
CDs - green
BC - purple
Mino - purple
Is this correct?

You don't HAVE to use color codes. With a team like chaos dwarves, where the players are so different, it is not really necessary. It is more important on teams you can't really differentiate, e.g. Amazons.
But if you really want them (or your conversions are not so easy to tell apart), I'd also go for red on the BC. The rest sounds good.

ok WHAT LRB are you using?
and are these teams for a league? or one off games/touney?
my one off games/tourney list is:
2 Bull centuars
5 Chaos Dwarves
3 Hobgoblins
1 Minotaur
2 Re-rolls
and however much is left on fan factor. i cantr emember if its 2FF, 3 etc.. but thats my roster for ONE off games and tourneys. and thats LRB 4. under LRB5 and legues its a different roster.
and its great to have another CD fan. welcome brother

Thanks guys!
Well it`s for a league and we kinda liked the colour codes cause it makes it all a lot easier + I think it makes it less complicated keeping track on my players when I only see their backs.
This is my starting Cockerel and I`ve already made/converted:
- 2 CDs
- 2 BCs
- 6 Hobgobbos
- 1 mino
What to include in the remaining 5 positions are very interesting cause I ain`t got a clue
Oh and yeah I`m a CD fan, but I hope those of ya who like the "traditional" CD look won`t kill me when ya see my team...they ain`t exactly traditional

ouch well i like the roster, but only 2 CD's? they are some of the best players [- block, tackle and thick skull?] and that is only 2 players with block in your team, and with re rolls so expensive, you could be making alot of turnovers. id really recommend more Cd's but hey if you like it, go for it!

So for the extra players I should max out on CDs?
Since it`s 0-6 limit on CDs I could get in the last 4 with my free slots + a star player. Which star player do ya recommend?

You don't have on-roster stars, they're paid for on a game-by-game basis.

But you still only have a 16 limit for the complete Cockerel so in a league you`d have to give up a space for the star player right?

Yep.
