Would like to say hello to everyone on the site. Been a very long time since I last dropped a mail on here (Think that it's been two years).

Been totally away from the game (won't give my reasons why but there's a saying... happens)

Anyways

Loads of new tournaments to get involved with. Nearest one to you coming up is the Poo Bowl in Loughborough. Check it out, middle of January, and should be good.

Welcome back!

Just how much has the game changed in terms of the rules in the last 2 years?

The last time I actually physically played the game was in June 2004. Have the rules been modified in that time (probably a stupid question - they were always been modified when I was playing all the time!!)?

Where's the best place to find the updated version of the rules? Has there been new annuals or rule books produced?

Any sites I should visit to download?

Thanks Darkson, it's been a hell of a long time.

Hopefully I will manage to find the time in the near future to get back into the game....

I'll be like a novice all over again.

One more question - probably seems a little dumb of me. When entering official tournaments, what is the stance on converted players, i.e. those that don't conform to the box set for the particular race?

For example, can I enter a converted Warhammer figure as a human winger?

Sure you can, it's even encouraged just make sure it's clear which mini is which position (colored baserings recommended).

And for GW tournaments, it has to be a GW fig (so no Impact!, Shadowforge or Heresy for example).

For some reason I can't seem to put a new avatar on the site either. I have tried saving items to my pictures and uploading them (80 x 80 jpgs, tifs, gifs etc) but the site doesn't want to know - anyone got any tips?

No idea - it took me ages to get mine to upload. Iirc I finally had to host it somewhere else (photobucket I think) and link to it, but even that didn't work originally.
