What exactly can an Apothecary heal?

Post by Gremdel »

Rules say:
"...the Apothecay may attempt to heal one injury that has been suffered by a player in his team."

What I'm not clear on is what consitutes an injury. Is any roll on the injury table an injury, including stun? So can I use my Apo on Stuns, KOs and Casualties, or just Casulties? Thanks.

We played any result on the injury table but I don't think anyone ever used it on anything other than a cas.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

All right, is that the common answer then? Secondly, does the opposing player still get SPP even if the Apo intervines?

You can also use the Apothecary to allow a player who failed a niggling injury roll still make the game.

Just in case you did not know.

An injury roll is anything that breaches armour. A casualty roll is a roll on sigurd's table. Therefore an apothecary can heal anything from a stun to a death.

Very rarely I have seen an apothecary used to cure a stun. This only happens at the end of the game, when that player is the only one who can score on the next turn.

Apothecaries cannot heal a player who was pushed into the crowd, because the injury did not happen on the field.

In our league, an apothecary cannot heal a player if they are pushed into the Lava or teleoport into another player during the Dungeonbowl, either. Just recently, this resulted in Hurg "The Amazing Spider-Orc"
