Random Rule Questions:

I thought i would set up this topic for all of the miscelaneous questions.
To get the ball rolling:

Does Hail mary pass have to target a creature, i know you can target an empty square, but if i have 4 skinks with diving catch in the area and i throw a hail mary pass, can ALL of them make a diving catch move, or do i have to nominate one before scattering the ball.

As a secondary question, if i have diving catch and my opponents throw misses, can my player move to catch the ball?

Just to check, you can use more than one skill in a turn under the current rules cant you?

Alrite the answer to your question is Yes. The rest is from any game show on tv here in the usa. The home version would of course be Bloodbowl.

HMP can target any square on the board, but unfortunately, the first sentence of the Diving Catch skill answers your question. DC can only be used when the ball is 1) thrown to you and 2) misses.

I think i see the problem, miscellaneous questions, not miscellaneous answers :)

If that is true on diving catch then why does it also say that "this skill is particularly useful when combined with hail mary pass"?

Seriously
1) U can target an empty square, however unless u target a particular person they cant use the diving catch skill, in which case only they can try to catch it using the skill.
2) No u cant diving catch someone elses hmp.
3) Yes u can use more than one skill per turn.

The hmp play is a major pain. The only people who can do it decently are elven teams or skaven. They both have catchers with hi ag and hi mv. Any player with access to pass skills can throw a hmp but in order to score with it u need someone that can get very deep in the opponents backfield, and they definately will need diving catch. Even with that skill u should really only do it if there arent too many ag3+ opponents back there as well. Nothing frustrates a hmp play than a failed catch with an ag 4 skink in the area.

Cause your receiver has the possibility to catch, though the pass is not accurate. The point is, that the pass can not be intercepted and your thrower can throw from your own endzone to the other one. In most cases the ball lands in one of the fields round your catching guy. And he has the chance to catch and by that prevent that turnover that happens, when the ball falls on the ground.

And surely you can use more than one skill. Didn“t you ever use accurate with pass? frenzy with block? sprint with sure feet? kiss her with wrapping arms around? -- Oh, thats another game, sorry :P

someone was trying to convince me you could only use one skill per player per action, i tried to tell them each skill once, but would they listen....nooooooo.
Anyway, thanks.

The point with the hmp is i am planning on using it with lizardmen, one double with a skink to get it, and the rest of them can just run down the other end and wait.

dunno if it will work,, i will let you know as soon as i roll a double and play the next game :)

I would suggest 2 or more with diving catch, then u have choices and can pick the one with the least coverage.

well it isnt like they have that many options skillwise!

I assume catch and diving catch can be combined?
