Just a bit of newby advice:
1. Try to make a search first. It works very well.
2. Next time put you post in the appropriate thread (in this case Tactics and Team development). It has the advantage that the really interested will find your post more easialy.
For the rest: welcome aboard, be happy
, enjoy and don't listen to.....
No that list would be to long!

Hi and welcome ...
First thing that strikes me is that you have 15 players and an apothecary after 1 game. Value is 920k that means you either had a damn lucky first game with horrid winnings or 0 or only 1 RR with a low Fan Factor. Could you post your starting roster or how many ReRolls and FF you have?
You have 11 linemen ... basicly an interesting idea, but you still need 5 players (2 blitzers, 1 catcher, 1 Big Guy, maybe a second thrower) to max. out your positions, but only room for one more player. That means you'll have to drop 3-4 linemen before you reach the optimal roster. together with the low starting RR that means you're wasting money here (not a very big issue as Norse are pretty cheap).
Big Guy: go for an Ogre ... the mino is nice backfield safety, but you already have the 4 blitzers that can do the job (the catchers as well if developed defensively). The weakness of the of the Norse is their low armour, they drop out like flies on the line. An Ogre fills at least 1 of the 3 line spots with a player that is very hard to remove from the pitch (ST5, AV9, TS).
Try to get BBMag 9, it has some nice strategy hints for Norse by Anthony.

Welcome to the club Harbinger.
I have to agree with Tim on the fact that you have 15 players and you have only played 1 game. My starting team looks something like this...
3 Blitzers
2 Throwers
7 Linemen
3 RR
6 FF
Or
3 Blitzers
2 Throwers
7 Linemen
2 RR
2 FF
Apoth
IMO Norse catchers aint worth the gold, their low movement and AV makes them easy to sack once they have the ball. Instead just wait for a lineman to gain some SPP's and then turn him into a runner/catcher.
As for the big guy it's your choice, i like the mino best but they can prove to work against you at times.
Good luck.

Harbinger:

Welcome aboard. Usually when people initially start playing BB, they 'front load,' which is to say that they buy all the expensive positional players and forget about ReRolls and Fan Factor. I sure did. It's always good to see someone who does things differently.
For long term League play, most people usually start teams with 11 or maybe 12 players at most and as much FF and RRs as they can get their hands on. In fact, since my very first team I ever made, I don't think I've made a single team for long term play that hasn't started with at least 7 or 8 FF... The idea is that it's your only chance to buy FF (and it's incredibly important) and RRs are cheapest initially (they cost double once the team has started). Buying your Apothecary or another blitzer is the same price down the road, therefore get the bargain stuff to start and add your good players as your team grows.
Also, regarding the big guy, Ogres are much more reliable. Minotaurs are arguably more fun. The Ogre is almost always a better choice, tactically. Wild Animal is a harsh mistress...
Regarding Shaniepoo and the catchers:
------------
The primary appeal of Norse catchers is Agility skill access.
That means that they easily get Dodge (first skill) and Sidestep (second skill).
Also, that means for only 20k extra, you get (at 16 SPPs) a blodgin', sidesteppin', catchin' fool rather than the usual Norse Lineman, which is (also at 16 SPPs) Block, Tackle and what, Pro?

My Norse Starting team was:
2 Catchers
2 Blitzers
1 Thrower
6 Linemen
1 Apothecary
3 RR
8 FF
This gives you maximum security not to lose a player in the first game (apothecary), a decent passing game (1 Thrower, two catcher) - very helpful to milk some quick pass completions for SPP from game 1. The linemen just rock with all block and 2 Blitzers are few, but you can't have it all. You need just 2 Blitzers, an Ogre and a 4th RR (=420k) to turn this into an awesome roster.
I won my first game 2-1 against Orcs, although my low armour turned out to be a big problem, the skill depth and the 2 blitzers dominating the sidelines just made the difference. 90k winnings gave me a 3rd blitzer for game 2. No skills, but 16 SPP shared by 6 different players already.

Tim beat me here.
Definetely get a good Apo
Mine failed four times so far. Really not worth. As for the comments, I think Tim summed it up. Definetely get a Mino just for fun. You'll have to accept, that once in a while he can mess you up solidly, so you'll have to play him with a lot of risk management (not that I do that, but so goes the theory).
Other than that, you want position players to fill as many slots as possible. So either their will be Linemen retiring
or you'll have to retire nigglings to assistant coaches. Four Blitzers (total) after five or six games should be the goal in addition to the Mino. Gives you much more options.
Have fun with them. I started a Norse team reluctantly and they survived surprisingly well in the league and made it into the final.

ok sorry for the lack of response...i lost power for a week due to a hurricane...
but here is how i ended up at my current team:
started with:
apothecary
11 linemen
1 catcher
1 thrower
1 blitzer
2 RR
4 FF
after my first game I ended up with 80k in winnings bringin me up to a total of 90k, I had a random event card that allowed me to buy a player for 1/2 price, so i bought a blitzer for 45k...nice note: i also bankrupted the gobbo player, caused 1 troll to miss almost entire second half, caused 2 casualties, and managed to go toe to toe with 2 trolls in blockin duels....though i fugure ill pick on gobbos next time.
since this is my first team it will end up as a live and learn, i am thinkin og starting a second team in the league...they will probably be amazons, or halflings (just cuz i plan to prove those stunty fools can win a game)

yeah a week of no power = a week of runnin fer ice daily, cookin all the meat in the house, and having nothing to do inside.
well along with no power we found out we are now without cable, but thats not too bad. we had a few tree branches fall...the large ones missed the house, but one did hit us, it dented the gutter and broke a light....so no real damage...just lotsa work fer me to clean up.
I was thinking of naming the minotaur Gorax Trollslayer....then just stick him infront of trolls when i play the gobos and let him have at...heh

heh, well seeing what i did the first time i played...
i used either a single lineman, or 1 with 2 assists, to pick on the trolls i was usually on the 2 dice, he pick...and im not one for rerolls and i hardly used mine at all ( i actually forgot i could use them) and it didnt go too badly (well none of my guys got worse then KO'ed), but i am thinkin of gettin an ogre instead that way he can get assissts on his attempts to knock around other big guys.

ok heh just played the spike mag tourney in the league...
only had 4 people in it.... 1 disbanded after game 1 when 66% his team died.
i lost game 1. 4-1...my catcher scored touch down and had completeion, and i had a casualty as well....
one lineman got a new skill so i gave him tackle.
still no losses though one guy now has a niggling injury.
i played against a skeven team, spent most of game pounding the gutter runners and the rat ogre.
my FF went up by one though.
got 30000 gp
and never got a game 2 since loser of other game was disbanned.
i learned i have trouble stopping a fast team..specially when he was makin every pass and every catch, and then they were TD's... he agreed it was rather interesting the crap he pulled off.
all i have to say about today is...Nuffle sucks
