What the! What the heck was that! A tournament leaping out of the gorram blue like some Slann with a Werewolf at his heels? Barely four weeks to go until the date itself? Are you insane?

You better believe it!

It's the Two-Up Cup! Anything But A One is turning 50, so we thought we'd chuck together a small tournament to celebrate. Nothing big or fancy, just a few games, a few laughs, and maybe even some drinks!

I'm 99% sure that Resurrection answers this, but the when a player is immediately and irrevocably killed, do they still come back between rounds? It's the word irrevocably which is making me wonder.

Yes, they do resurface for the next match, perhaps looking a little dishevelled and with a faint sense of unease.

Those ABAO scamps, coming over here and redefining our bloody language!

Looks like a fun rule set boys, nice work. Bit too much of a trek for me, but will follow the madness and play vicariously through the poor dice rolls of others.

On the ABA1 rule - It says on the next single dice roll. One assumes this is limited to a single D6 roll needed to pass something? (Dodging, Passing, GFIs, etc). So Blocks are out, as is fouling? Otherwise I see a wonderful moment of a little snot standing next to an opposing big buy and successfully fouling him on a 2+. And this is something I would consider doing, just for laughs  ;)

Yes, it only applies to rolls that only use one D6. I do love the idea that not only do you get ejected on a 1,1 for a foul, but you also explode. Maybe next year!

Update: Something to spoil you lucky sons-of-guns with...

The first twenty people to sign up (hey, that's everyone!) will receive a special, brand new, never seen before utterly unique Anything But A One dice!

---

Life is easy for an elf. Wake up, brush your hair for two or three hours, skip out of your tree and breeze through life with barely a thought for those lesser creatures that clog up the until-recently barren spaces between forests.

Not everything goes to plan however.

When five sides of the dice are successful, why even bother having anything on them at all? Why not just have enough to know when you've failed miserably?

The Anything But A One Podcast presents: Anything But A One dice: dice for when you need... anything but a one!

Just for my own peace of mind that i'm not planning some cheating, say a Treeman activates, rolls to root successfully then wishes to dodge.

May i at that point stand up and declare Anything But A One, or must i declare this before the Treeman has taken any actions at all?

It’s at the start of the players action, so Take Root would count as the first roll. Basically, don’t do it with treemen!

Correct! Unless you need your Minotaur to make a pass action and he needs to eat past that 4+ Wild Animal.
