Hi all ..

NetBowl, Eje's tool for online playing, is now ready for your download at the Spanish Team website (under construction) at : http://spanishteam.tbbl.org/

You can chose to download it in three different languages: Spanish, English or French thanx to the fast and nice translation by Dain.

NetBowl 2.2 features the same posibilities of any 'peer to peer' connection, plus it allows spectators to join in and see the BloodBowl action. No need of an IRC channel, no need of any external dice bot, just direct connection to your opponent, and no rules restrictions. (BloodBowl, BeachBowl, BB7s, and any House Rules, ... )
Load your teams from built in .html and .bbt creation features, or from any internet server ..

Download it now, and test it's playability and fast connection. Publish your NetBowl server IP so others can join and see the match.
You can even save your matches to finish them later on. Each turn saves a txt file with the exact url string to post it into a phpbb forum, and access MixX's online flash situation application.
You can even change your field graphic on the fly!!

We would like to recieve your feedback on the translation strings, since this is the first working version with multi-languages features.

Enjoy a new way of playing BB online .. enjoy NetBowl!!

I was able to use the installer just fine without translation just because it was very simple and well laid out. However none of the help menu is in English so I've been unable to figure out 90% of it. Your method for team entry is fantastic imo, very easy to use and I'm sure the rest will be too once I can understand the instructions. :D

Thanks for the hard work on this program guys. I look forward to playing it soon!

Still no joy with getting it to install, I get some sort of error message, but it's in Spanish (obviously!) and I didn't get a chance to copy it.

I need more data about this error message. Try to copy it or I can´t do nothing :(
The installation is in spanish because the software to compile it it´s in spanish.
And yes, I need a spanish-english translator for the translation of the help file. My english level it´s not enough to translate it for myself
Anyway the program is very intuitive and easy to use.
A little trick to learn is connect against yourself. Run two instances of program, one host the match and the other connect to 127.0.0.1. Then you can see on one instance the result of your actions on the other instance.

Hmm.. because the error come in the installer, it blocks the use of notepad. I'll have to copy it by hand when I have some time.

I upload a copy of NetBowl essential files. It´s possible that works on some computers without installation, but you must try to install it before.
Tell me if it works fine.
And if somebody can copy me the installation error message I can try fix it.

I thought it pretty intuitive too, but when I try and host the game it just says trying to connect to... and gives an ip address and just keeps trying to conncet to that address over and over again without getting anywhere. I am at work but will edit this post with the ip address it lists when I get home.

Never mind. Im retarded! It was just waiting for a 2nd team to conact it. Since I just testing it and didnt have a 2nd team I had never completed the circle. I just opened one up and oila!

I will post a review as soon as I get done with a couple games.

problems report:

- when you select Khemri, an error pops up about the price of the RR not being found
- when buying players, why don't their price fill in automatically ?

to be edited as i find other things to say.

Ups, the clases.ini file had a mistake. You can fix it if search the first line with "Position=Khemri" (on Skeleton) and write a line with "ReRoll=70000" after this.

:?: The program fill the players price and calculate TR with it (if you have signed the checkbox, obviously).

The error message is like this?
El sistema no está actualizado
Debes reiniciar para que se actualice.
This message warns about some system files need to be updated and you must to reboot the computer to do it. After reboot you must run the install again.
Tell me if this fix your problem.

I love this program. I recommend it to everyone.

Maybe it's just me, but if you play online games using JavaBB most of the time, you soon forget how the game is actually played on the board, since so many things are done automatically.

NetBowl plays just like the board game, and nothing is automated. Is great for an old timer that has been away for a while (like me) to get some practice.

Enjoy!
