phpCommish ready for download

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

phpCommish ready for download

Post by The Leather Duke »

Hi.

I've finished the first version of phpCommish and put together a web-page for the project.

You can find the page here: http://www.tinius.no/phpcommish/

phpCommish is programmed using php and MySQL.

phpCommish is a very simple league management system for leagues based on LRB4.

The league points system uses traditional soccer-league points (3 win, 1 draw, 0 loss) compares TD's where points are equal, compares CAS' where points and TD's are equal.

phpCommish can also be used as a team-manager for javaBB and PBeM applications.

what is the likelihood that you can update for LRB 5.0 or allow base teams to be updated?

I will update for LRB5.

I finished the LRB4-version about when LRB5 was released, so I haven't had time to look into that yet.

The league management works independent of the rules. If you create some teams, you can just use the league management part for virtually any kind of league that uses these rules for points and scoring.

The team management are the specific LRB4 based code.

I will keep you posted.

Ah, yes. That has been brought to my attention recently.

The problem is this: I developed the scripts using php4, and php5 introduces a more strict use of POST'ed variables (among other things).

I have mostly updated the code, both for lrb4 and lrb5 and will be releasing it soon.

If anybody else has this same problem, please feel free to PM me, or send an email.

I'll announce it here when the code is available.

phpCommish v2 announcement

Post by The Leather Duke »

The phpcommish app is updated to version 2!

Go to http://phpcommish.tinius.no for download, and demo.

The update has been a rework of the code to support php5/mysql5, update to tables, and bugfixes of the existing code.

phpCommish is a php/mysql app that can help a league commish manage his or her league. The league model uses leagues, seasons and divisions as the organizing base. Results are displayed in a table calculated on result, TD's and CAS's.

You can even run the app locally on your computer using an app like
http://www.appservnetwork.com/.

Updates? Suggestions? Bugs?

Send me a PM or email.

The download link is dead. PM'd Stein a few months back about it and never got an answer.

So I downloaded and installed OBBLM instead. Worked like a charm and I love it! :D
