Master chefs in tournaments

How do Master Chefs work in tournaments if two coaches are playing each other with 'flings?

Do both players roll for stealing re-rolls?

Or do they both cancel each other out and therefore are not used for that game?

both roll, nothing in the rulebook saying they cancel out iirc

That's a good question. Would the chefs only affect the opposing team's original rerolls?

I would say yes, as leader rolls can't be taken

Both coaches roll and they can only "steal" the other rerolls, not the ones that your opponent steals from you.

Example:
T1 has 3 team rerolls and steals 3 from the opponent.
T2 has 2 team rerolls and steals 1 from the opponent.

T1 has now (3-2)+3=4 rerolls
T2 has now (2 -3;minimum0)+1=1 reroll

Correct correction.

Yeah. My example had the "steal 2" in it while I typed and then I changed it to 1
