I am pleased to say that the Weymouth Waagh for the first time will be including Blood Bowl :D Thus hopefully allowing me to avoid the embarrassment of me trying to play fantasy There are 12 spaces for Bloodbowl. Fantasy and 40k are also available for people who prefer that sort of thing. Weymouth is a great place to visit and I have a great time the last couple of years despite having to play fantasy :o

Team Building

You have 1100,000 gps to spend on your team in addition you get the following upgrades

5 of your players get a skill upgrade

4x skill
1xDouble Skill

Each player may only have one upgrade.
Star players cannot receive upgrades
Instead of taking the double a normal skill may be chosen
The skills are fixed before game one for the whole tournament an can not be changed.
The double can not be used to gain a stat increase.
The same skill increase can only be taken twice in a team.
A maximum of one Star Player may be take per team except Goblin and Halfling team who may take as many as they can afford.

e.g. in a Orc team 2 Black Orcs take Block, The player can not take any more Block so decides to give Two Blitzers Mighty Blow and uses the double upgrade to give the Thrower the dodge skill.

Rules

Teams are reset at the end of every game. Casualties are not carried over and no new skills can be gained during the tournament.

DICE
All players must allow their opponents to share their dice if asked to do so.

Inducements

A Halfling Master Chef may be hired by Halfling teams
Bribes may be taken by Goblin teams
A single star player may be taken by any team, Halfling and Goblin teams may take as many as they can afford.

Quick question.... What have you got against Elves? High, Dark and Wood elves are on your list, but not the straight Elves. ;)

The 12 limit is really there to make it easy for us to run. I am hoping the Blood Bowl will be self policing. Even at large tournments there seems to very few problems so feel free to fill it up and I will talk to Bob(Who has booked the hall and helping organise the whole thing) about increasing it from 12 if that happens. I think what I am trying to say is 12 would be ideal for running it for the first time but having to many is a problem I will be happy to have.

Question from one of my coaches: Will this be NAF ranked?

And another question from one of coaches: Is it noob friendly?

Yes it will be NAF will apply later :) . I can't see any reason for it to be rejected. I hope it will be noob freindly I have no idea of what the standard of the players will be but there will be plenty of time for games and there is plenty of time to get a few games in before July 2012.

That's a shame Suffolk happens to be my old stomping ground I went to school in Kesgrave. I will have to do a Carrot crunch and catch with some old friends at the same time one year. I think Bob(the guy who did the booking) choose that date to avoid the Olympic sailing and possibly any big Fantasy tournaments, hopefully it will be good weather too. So blame the Olympics for the date!
