Need help indentifying figs

Post by cyagen »

Hi, thanks in advance for the help.

The first 2 look like WFB Undead units but I can't find the reference.

This one is probably a Warzone fig, but again which one?

I remember the last one, something with "chasseur" (hunter in French) IIRC.

I cant really make out the first one, maybe some kind of familiar ? Second one... a fell bat ??

Hope this helps a bit. :-?

The third image is of a fig released for first edition Warzone as "Sea Lion Hero". (I can post the code for it later, if that would be helpful.) Under the "Ultimate Edition" of Warzone, the Sea Lion troops were given new sculpts, and the original figs were designated as "Admiral Colby's Guard", or something like that, if I am not mistaken.

The original blister, circa 1995, was designated: "#9817-A SEA LION HERO" (and, incidentally, the miniature came with a sword that attached at the small hole in the miniature's back). In the Ultimate Edition of Warzone, circa 2003, this particular miniature was supposed to be an individual named "Nathan R. Parrish", of the ACG (Admiral Colby's Guard).

Think the first answer's right, that first mini looks like a fell bat... hard to be sure from the photo, but the hole in the bottom suggests it's not one of the old school vampire bats that used to come on metal stems that protruded out of the bottom when direstly vertical. What's that thing above the bat's head, though?

As for the second, haven't the foggiest, I'm afriad.

I had three of them! I can't remember the company that made them, I thought they were "stringes" or some name like that from DnD but that might just be what I used them as... which probably isn't much help

The bat was a pain to photograph since there is a rider on top of it, likes like the mini in the first picture but with a sword/knife

The bat like things are indeed WHFB undead, theyre from the mid`s 80`s, and they are normally referred to as Undead Carrion riders.

Are you sure? I thought the 80's carrion were more like rotting vultures?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
