To be precise; it's not you being silly - it's the miniature. IMO it looks like something out of a bad 1950's sci-fi movie.

Well, seeing how this is from the Mouslings IN SPACE!! series, and the Mouslings look like Astronauts from a bad 50's movie (ray-gun and all), I think it fits right it.
Though I only wish to put a glass dome over its head to make it look like the Simpsons aliens.
