B&P Games

I've always considered BB a B&P game, primarily due to my inability to take it seriously, in an attempt to not get infuriated at some of my rolls. But I've always loved games like that.

Well recently I've stumbled upon Mongoose Publishing's Judge Dredd Miniatures Game.

Very similar to Blood Bowl in the fact that it's fast, furious, and the rulebook is FREE! The models don't have the most fantastic detailing I've ever seen, but very decent for the prince. and since I know alot of BBers are from across the pond, I thought I'd mention them incase anyone was interested.

you can find the game's page located here: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/minia ... dredd.html

I also play Necromunda, and that other Specialist game based in the fantasy world whose name I can't remember.

If anyone knows of any other similar games, please let me know as I might be interested in trying them out.

If you like Judge Dredd, keep your eye on Kickstarter, as they're going to to a Rogue Trooper game in a similar vein (March I believe).
I recommend GorkaMorka. Any game that encourage crashing trukks full or orks into each other has got to be a win (though getting hold of all the rules might be difficult).

Yea, I heard about the Rogue Trooper KS from the MGP forums. Though sadly enough I'm not familiar with the universe.

+1, Gorkamorka is awesome, but finding rules pdf online is hard I guess. :-?

For whatever reason, back in the Fanatic day, they never released Digganob as a pdf.
Didn't realise they'd put Gorka on the main site though (I downloaded them when they went up on SG).

I found indirectly the GW site's links through Gameboardgeek, on GorkaMorka's page.
I couldn't find them directly on the GW site (the search found nothing). :-?

I loved Necro, but despised GorkaMorka... the rules were retarded.. basically as long as the Orks kept rolling 6s they won.. no tactics, strategy, no room for cunning, just roll dice and see who wins.. it took the B&P game to an all new low..

then again, I was a red shirt at the time that game launched, so my opinions may not be unbiased

the only good thing about GorkaMorka was it was the first time GW did multi-part plastics.. after that, their whole world opened up..

I prefer Necromunda as well because it's deeper in tactics (multilevel scenery, more gangs, skills and scenarios to play), GorkaMorka is a more light hearted game to take less seriously (it use less terrain so less tactics), but can make you laugh if played with the right attitude, the 2 books are full of Ork goofy humor and flavour.
