Okay there is already a roster for Slaanesh Elves (there's even fluff to support them in 40k).

I've run the team through the new team builder rules and at least on the surface the team doesn't have any basic guideline breaks for building a team.

Now there is no WFB/40k fluff to support this team, but here's what was proposed:

Nurgle Elves:
0-12 Nurgle Cultist 4/3/1/9 Foul App./Tentacles 60k Gen/ST/Phy
0-4 Chaos Elf 9/3/4/7 Horns/Regeneration 100k Gen/AG/Pass/Phy

Rerolls: 70k
Apothecary: No .... because of their worship of Nurgle no apothecary can stand to stay with the team.

Okay, what I'm looking for is feedback that I can give this guy. I have my own thoughts on why this wouldn't be a team I'd want in my league, but I was hoping to see other viewpoints that I could pass along without throwing out my two cents first.

Or is the team okay in your opinion?

i don't picture nurgle as a particularly fast cult... why a 9 speed? i think that an elf nurgle worshipper would be more of a perverse antithesis of elf-ness.... make him grossly fat and hideously ugly with no grace to speak of... 4/3/2/8 regen, hideous app... or something...

I agree with Lucian on this - partially. Speed 9 is way to fast for followers of the Choas god of desease and decay - however they are still elves. Dropping the MA to 7 or 8 and maybe even the AG to 4 - I know, radical for an elf team but they are supposed to be Nurgles followers. Even with this change they would still have access to all but one skill group - slightly powerful.
I'm not sure but this team idea just feels wrong. The elves are to fast and agile to be Nurgle and the cultists are to tough and slow to work well with the elves.

Cultists: Foul Appearance and Tentacles? Give them all Shadowing and/or Pass Block and you're on the verge of being broken right there. Scary.

Trying to Shadow with movement 4 never really gets you anywhere, likewise with pass block and an agility of 1. I agree that its potentially very scary though.

Pass Block isn't so much reliant on AG or MA...get yourself into the catcher's Tackle zone with it and he's going to have a devil of a time getting away: can't block you because of FA, its harder to Dodge because of the Tentacles. Switch Tackle for the Shadowing and you've got a real git of a pass defender.

I have much simpler reasons for not liking the roster than that ridiculous movement and the fact that there's no fluff.

My first impression was "Is this a joke?"

Now I'll chime in with my thoughts.

The MA 9 Elf bothers me a lot ... 8 maybe ... but even then.

12 players with Foul Appearance quickly kills an opponent's passing game and the Tentacles/FA combo is just plain nasty .... hard to hit and hard to get away.

I don't think the Elf should have Passing skills ... looks like overkill completely.

I really don't like the fact that this team basically takes the Lizardmen approach and inverts it ... only 4 players who can score ... the team seems limited in scope ... how is it going to score consistently.

Those 4 Elves at AV 7 are going to get booted with as many fouls as I can bring to bear even with the eye on me. Get rid of them and the team is completely dead in the water.

The pricing is balanced and the players are not over skilled per se ... but when I saw it, I KNEW the roster was just wrong ... but its difficult for me to email the guy back and say why its wrong ... that's why I was looking for feedback.

I really don t like the make up of the team. 12 players with Ag1. I really cant see how this team could develop or even be fun to play
