Since you have not submitted yet, you can still fix that ;)
Fixing is not the correct word. I effectively have to do the whole thing again.
Can you not just rename the tabs? I hope so, that's what I did!

From the newsletter....

"whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE TAB"

yes, do not interchange them! People have done that, think we would not notice, but our automated macro will crash if you do that.

I don't think you have to. We will be asked after round 1 draw end of the month, I think. That is in the last newsletter I believe.

Newsletter, First Round wrote: While the draw of the squads will be done sometime in August or September, this tournament offers you a unique chance to decide your line-up for the first match. Captains have to submit the order of their squad-mates until September 29, 2019. If we do not receive any info from the captains, the order will be random. Have your best player start on the lowest table, put the Halfling coach at table 1 or expect a Chaos mirror match on table 3. Start the mind-boggling game of theory-bowling about what your opponent will come up with and how you can possible counter it the most efficient way.

With not even 50% of the rosters handed in, I suddenly seem to have a fair chance of actually winning moregames with opponents having to play horrible rosters as punishment... 8)
That is if my captain has handed our roster in yet...

Sorry next question. May have been previously answered.
If you have hexagonal or square bases, please choose the diameter, which is the next larger one where the base would fit in. Possible diameters are: 25mm, 32mm and 40mm
Will they fit a 40mm square base?

Thanks

all rosters in!!!

Dear Coaches and Captains of the World Cup,

it was another strong showing of how great the Blood Bowl community sticks together and how to make the upcoming biggest event not only an fantastic party of our beloved game (I hope), but also makes it very easy on the organizers by following (mostly) deadlines and guidelines.

When the first rosters came in last week, they were not what I had expected after writing a long newsletter about on how the rosters should be submitted.....maybe it was too long and people stopped reading after the first paragraph. People named their files wildly or even did not rename anything, which made me look up at least half the Squad ID to rename the files myself, I started sending the rosters back to ask them to rename. Some overachieved (but still did not read the newsletter), they wanted to get bonus points by renaming the tabs with their Squad ID, but that lead to a crashing of my automated macro to create the website rosters. Then there were people who wrote in the skills by hand and only used lower case letters, again crashing my macro when counting the skills for the markers. Italians seem to have the unwritten policy to write all names in upper case. And all the rosters, which were filled out by Open Office or other-non-Excel programs I had to copy and paste manually, where I learned that the Excel sheet is not as great as I thought it would be. Sorry for making it a pain for you getting all the single rosters in one combined file.

I assume that there are many squads which have disregarded the proper order of coaches, which are listed on the vouchers I have sent out to everyone. So I guess Milo and I will go through all databases again to adjust them for the main database (seems easier than re-writing the Excel sheets).
Anyway, it was a fun ride, reading all the different rosters, seeing so many rosters which are the same even down to the last skill, and then seeing rosters with a skill selections, which is so far off the mainstream, that I really wrote down the Coach ID to see how he fares at the event.

Despite my bickering at the beginning of the letter, I find it just AMAZING to get 1440 coaches to submit their rosters spot on in time. During the week we had some doubts, but it was the same feeling as during registration time when December exploded with sign-ups.
Let me say a BIG THANK YOU to all coaches for helping us and let's have a great party in Dornbirn.
